I have no idea what Rose's health status is, but if he can somehow get some PT before the playoffs and get in a rhythm, I don't want to play the Bulls.

Sefolosha isn't a better player. Butler has a much more advanced offensive game and he is almost as good defensively. He also adds experience and toughness.

When you say Lamb is better I assume you were trying to be funny.

Butler can shoot from outside and can still play tough D, but I'd definitely rather have Lamb right now.

In the playoffs?

Yup. Lamb can do more for you offensively. I've seen Butler play multiple times (masochist Pistons fan) and he really struggles to guard quicker players. Lamb's not there yet defensively by any means, but he can guard both 2/3 on the outside.

Now, I think the Thunder signed him to counter the Rockets/Warriors/Clippers small ball lineups and help rebound, which is something Sefolosha can't do when they go small ball. They can now go Westbrook/Lamb or Jackson/Butler/Durant/Ibaka.

He's not coming back this season. Not unless someone created the super soldier serum and gave it to rose.

Bulls have won 9 of last 10 you wouldn't want to play them anyways because their defense is tough, currently are in a grove, and still other talented player that no rose isn't a problem.

TOP does not disappoint

That's why mine get ignored, I'm just a novice.

TOP is the master, respect TOP.

Even if Rose came back and played well, you gotta factor that they lost Deng. Also, Rose was terrible when he played this year. I wouldn't expect him to return to old form any time soon.

I really hope he plays for Team USA this summer to knock some rust off.

Considering a tournament to decide the final playoff spot, and rotate the number one pick between every team. Is this guy just throwing out stupid ideas till one sticks?

Silver didn't propose this one. It's a measure that was devised to discourage tanking, and is actually pretty interesting. Basically, not only would you know your exact draft spot for the upcoming draft, but you would also know it for a minimum of the next 30 years, so there's no incentive not to go out and give a full faith effort to win every night.

Given the nature of our amateur feeder systems in this country, a relegation model isn't a viable option, so we're always going to be looking for systems that don't reward tanking. As those go, this one is pretty decent IMO. Here's an article Grantland ran several months ago if you're interested...

I don't remember what show it was, maybe Numbers Never Lie. They said it was one of his old ideas, I guess they just reported it wrong. That show is terrible after all. Lol

Nice read and I get it's purpose, but OKC or Miami getting the number one pick doesn't seem very fair either.

Setting the initial order would be one of the biggest points of contention with this system.

Having the number one pick to start this would be terrible. The ideal spot would be 10 or so. Get 10 top 10 picks for 10 years, with the picks improving every year.

That's not how it works. If you got the 10th pick in year one you'd pick 3rd, 28th, 21st, 16th, 9th, 4th, 27th, 24th and 13th over the first ten years.
