It’s a fair criticism
I don’t agree with them, but I find the criticism fair all the same.
I think most of us are rational enough to understand we’d be irate if they beat us on our home floor and were gator chomping our student section . But we will justify it for Grant and Admiral.
Admiral says their student section made unsavory comments. I believe him. Some think he should have taken the high road. Some think he should rub the win in their face. Fair both ways
This - if you don't like the other team's celebration after they win, then play better and win yourself. Same argument where folks bemoan teams running up the score. It's your job to play defense, not their job to "take it easy" on you. Too many snowflakes in the mediaIf they beat Tennessee in Knoxville that is exactly what I expect their players to do don't really see the big deal either way.
Andy Katz & Seth Davis both criticized the post game actions by Vol players. Of course, neither were there or knew what was being said to the players, or saw the way the game was “called” (very pro-Florida).
Players have to respect the fact that fans don’t heckle teams that are 3-12. They heckle good teams and good players. That said, if Florida had won and UF players had done the chomp, it would have been a celebration, not classless. I don’t understand why one team is classless and another is celebration. If Florida can’t deal with the chomp when they lose, don’t do it when they win.

UT doesn't have anything like the Gator Chomp but I'm sure some UT fans would be Pi$$ed if UF players threw a UT "cheer" back in the students' faces.
With that said, I had no real issue with it yesterday. The crowd was pretty brutal (normal for UF) and it was a very hard-fought game.
Reminiscent of Herbstriet wanting Rashaun Gaulden kicked off the team for flipping off Bama fans, while saying Baker Mayfield’s “competitive spirit” was misunderstood when he did it to Kansas fans.Saturday Down South did the same thing. They reported the "chomp" but made sure not to report the reason. According to what the players said it wasn't just what was said during the game, but also on social media. The taunts were characterized as unhuman in nature. Guess some websites just want to slam anything Vols.
I have been irate while they gator chomped us fans after winning on our home floor! It’s a ridiculous complaint by two talking heads that need something to talk about. Tennessee and Florida are a heated rivalry, as are most contest in the SEC. it’s what we do. Who cares what they think! It’s a fair criticism

I don’t think either should have been dismissed from their respective teams, both acts were done at very emotional times. Do you think Herby would have apologized if Gaulden hadn’t called him out so publicly? He may have forgotten about his comments toward Gaulden by that time.Ok, I’ll say it. It’s easy to kick Gauden off a 5-7 team but no way could you kick Mayfield off a CFP team. Herby later apologized and admitted he was wrong but remember a fact of life “there’s two sets of rules and the sooner you figure out which set apply to you, the better off you’ll be”.
