My wife is born and raised here in Knoxville, TN. Her father is a UT alumni. And she has never been to a UT game! WHAT!

I had no idea about this until about a week ago when we were talking about how awesome it would be to be at Neyland during the GA game.

I am a transplant from Texas and admittedly have been won over by the passion, pageantry, and .... pBadassness (Sorry needed another P word) that is UT football.. and the real UT at that! Admittedly, I have only been to two games... 2010 Alabama game (ouch.. but stayed the whole time!) and last years Troy game.

My wife and I have a 9 month old daughter at home and we figure its about to time to let a grandparent or two watch her for a day... So I just bought us 2 tickets to the game tomorrow!

Paid $100 ticket even for Section C Row 14 Seats 5 and 6. I was afraid it may be a little too low and we won't be able to see the entire field (I sat in ZZ and CC for my two games, so never sat in the lower level) but... I am not sure. I always hear there is not a bad spot in Neyland so whatever the view is.. we don't care. We plan on being on our feet for 3 hours yelling as loud as we can! Any input on the seats being too low?

We are both hoping that her first game will also be Butch's signature win and we can say we were both there for it!

GO VOLS!

You'll be ok for the most part. Row 20 is about perfect from my experience. I sat in row 2 once, and that was terrible.

Awesome man, thanks! :D

I meant to ask- parking. Both times I ended up riding with a buddy and now I am incharge of parking lol.

A coworker is having a big tailgate over by Circle Park and we planned on hitting that before the game. Any tips?

OMG! I would give my right arm for those seats!!

That's about 40 yard line, low enough to yell at opposing bench and they can HEAR YOU!

Your right next to the SC section. My seats are lower level row 5 and I love them. As far as parking it depends if you want to leave quick after the game. You park close to circle park it will be a while getting out of there. Park off Henley St side and walk if you want to leave w/o much traffic.

My wife's first game was Peyton's last at Neyland in 97. At the time, my wife was 2 years removed from being an Arkansas cheerleader so she was less than thrilled to be there. However, by 3rd qtr I looked over at her and she was singing "I'm proud to be a Tennessee Vol" at the top of her lungs. True story. She's a keeper.

Be sure to wear your shades and a cap. Will be sun exposed entire game unless it is cloudy.

Good call!

Weather report says a high of 69 and mostly cloudy. I thinking it is going to be a good day of football.

I just have a feeling.

Awesome. I want to yell as loud as I possibly can. And talk smack to Clowney. I am channeling good vibes to Tiny.

I have seats in Section V now but used to have a pair of seats in Section C, row 41. SC fans will be in Section B and A to your right and some right below you in the first few rows of Section C. Your view? Just about perfect! (row 29 or 30 is the mid-point of Section C)

We always park at Church St Methodist Church. The walk is not bad, and if you want to get out of traffic quickly, take a right on Henley and as soon as you cross the bridge you are out of traffic. If you live in W Knoxville, take John Sevier Highway over to Alcoa Highway and then to 140.

Don't leave early. You never know how it will end. I had tickets to the AR game the year we won it all. Had a friend come to Atlanta from Chicago. He wanted to leave with about 2 minutes to go to beat the traffic, make the drive back and not be so late getting back for visiting with our wives on Sunday. We know how that game ended.

I love stories like this . Those of us born into the Big Orange sometimes forget how lucky we have been all our lives to have a state & team that means so much to us! Your seats will be great. And far enough from the SC fans where they shouldn't be a factor! Enjoy every minute. You can park in some of the downtown garages free if you get there early enough. Be sure & be at the Vol Walk by 9:45. It's something to see....then the band marches to the stadium & puts on a great show :40 after the team comes thru.

GO VOLS!

What a GAME for my wife to experience Neyland for the first time. We were on our feet 95% of the time. We sat right behind the SC fans and I was sure to scream Rocky Top as loud as I could.

Neyland was ROCKING and it was AWESOME.
