Is that we are becoming Colorado. Their best days are long gone, as ours are. Something big needs to happen soon, or we may be.
Really? This is just ridiculous. We have multiple first round pick picks on this team. We just havnt played well in big games. IMO that's just poor coaching. Was bama Colorado a few seasons ago? They had a very similar bad stretch but like us are an elite program with great facilities and tradition. We'll be back. It's all cyclical.
A big problem for Colorado is they kept an awful coach for too long for no reason. I don't think we plan on keeping Dooley for five years, so we should be okay.
i said this long ago that we are going to plummit in the history rankings if we don't do something but no everyone on here thought i was stupid. saturday is absolutely dooleys last chance to do something positive at tennessee other than a get us to a bowl and win it. that's it. if we fire him oh the mess that will be created.......... players leaving, recruits leaving you name it it will happen.
Sorry, but the golf course is that way, silver spoon.
Comparing Tennessee to Colorado... smfh
2 things.
1.Remember when the female placekicker was raped? They still haven't recovered from that.
2. It's becoming more and more difficult to recruit to cold weather universities. It sounds stupid, but year after year the big recruit are going to warm weather schools. Recruits don't have to play locally anymore.
edit: Also, the admins have de-emphasized athletics.

I can tell you, having some CU booster friends, it's this more than anything else. ^^^ Everyone thought that might change with the move the Pac-12 but it's been slow to take hold. They just aren't rolling in the donations like SEC schools do. Can also tell you that's the first I've heard of that female placekicker you mentioned (Lisa Simpson I believe was her name) in many years. Don't think that's a factor, if at all.
That said, CU is nothing and I mean nothing like UT. Just from the obivous, I'll go to a game or two every year out here and it's much more like going to a high school game than it is a UT game (I try to get to one UT game a year as well [not this year..thanks Dooley and the economy]). Did go to that CU/Texas game during McCoy's senior year...that was fun.
