MSU loss helps our bowl game ranking?

I've read that the 2 big games for us will be UK vs UL and the SECCG. We need UL and bama to win. If they do we would move way up the board for several bowls and with the excitement surrounding the program right now, we likely get a nicer bowl than we could have imagined being possible over the next few seasons.
Ironically, I'm hoping ala**** crushes the puppies hearts, and Louisville does the same thing to Kentucky!

I gotta be honest...I might hate UF more than anyone on this board.........but I freaking loved ye 'Ole Ball Coach.
I hate UF with equal disdain as you! I let that hate spill over to Spurrier as well! Go Vols!! Whip Candy!

I want Louisville to take their Big Brother UK’s lunch money.
Not rooting “for” but Bama. But rooting that UGA gets their mangy arses handed to them.

I hope the SEC CG is a 0-0 tie and somehow it counts as a loss for both teams! Seriously, if the leg humpers barely beat Bama, both get into the playoffs and likely play again the first round.

At records of 7-4, 8-4 it is all about who puts more asses in the seats and comes to town to spend some $$$$$. Hopefully with our fan support we jump a couple of the others in front of us.

They will easily get in when they beat UGA in the SECCG.

yep. UGA is better, but ESPN and SEC want two teams in the playoffs and they will get it. It's the year that other conferences are forced to come on board with ESPN and SEC's plan to expand. CinCin is assured of a victory trail as well. Let's see...

Bama is not beating Ga. Bama is out if they lose. Yes a playoff expansion is coming as soon as the contract is up. As for this year Oklahoma State or Notre Dame will get the last spot .
Oklahoma State/NotreDame vs Georgia
OhioState/Michigan vs Cincinnati

Unlike Pamula Anderson, UGA always chokes on the big ones.

UGA gets in. Ohio State or Michigan if they win out. Cincy if they win out gets in.

I don't think anyone else can reasonably catch Alabama. They have the #1 SOS before even playing UGA.

Oklahoma and Oklahoma State even if they win out do not have the resume to get in. They have struggled to beat anyone handily. OKst barely beat a D2 team, Oklahoma only wins in close games and easily fails the eye test.

Notre Dame has the best argument, their SOS is 13th but they end with Stanford and will likely end up at about #20 and do not have a conference champ game so I would compare an 11-1 Bama vs a 11-1 ND.

If Bama gets blown out against UGA, that is the only scenario I see them being on the outs. Then I think Notre Dame likely fills in.
OU and State are playing in a top 10 matchup and the winner gets another top 10 matchup vs Baylor. I think back to back top 10 wins and a conference title changes somebody's resume especially considering how recent it would be. UGA has a spot no matter what, OSU/Mich getting a spot, OU,State, or Baylor grabbing a spot. That leaves Bama, Cincy, & ND for the other. Tbh Bama has to hammer an unranked Auburn, then beat UGA to guarantee a spot.

It’s funny you say Oklahoma and OSU don’t have impressive resumes. Have you seen Cincy’s? Personally, a 2-loss tOSU is more impressive than Cincy. Cincy shouldn’t be in the top 4.
