'26 MS WR Tristen Keys (lsu commit)

Ooohhh, so in other words simmons is implying Keys wont be at lsu and since he name dropped ut it’s safe to assume we’re the favorite?
Even if the better bet is the field that doesnt make us the favorite. LSU could be at 40% and the field could be at 60%. We might be the highest of the field with 30% and 4 other teams could make up that remaining 30% of the field.

All that said, its 50/50.

You're wasting your breath. Most the posters on here are fine with Second Tier Coaches, and a Second Tier NIL. We have had 5-6 of the 17 draftees in the last 4 years that were recruited by the current staff. Not one OLineman drafted since Wright. Most of the 5 or 6 are DLineman. Qb and DLine are the only spots recruited really well. Our OLine development is laughable. At least he has recruited better the last two years, but the tackles didn't play well last year, and no one developed behind the starters after 5 recruiting classes. OLine, Recievers, RB, and DB coaches have missed every big name in the last five classes.

It is way past time to pass judgement on these position coaches, and how horribly inept our NIL collective is. They've been here long enough to see. We have averaged a 15th nationally ranked class the last 5 years. The best was 10th. 4 of those 5 classes ranked 8th in the SEC, the other class was 4th.

I can't fathom how we are going to beat Georgia, Bama, LSU, Florida, Texas, and A&M consistently with less talent. That's just a fact. We are a second tier team because we are getting second tier results from everyone not named Garner. The only thing to be satisfied about is that at least we don't get blown out by 50 in Neyland anymore, but it is now time to be honest about these coaches. Heupel and Garner have overperformed to get the results we are getting, but that can only go on for so long. They'll have the built in Nico excuse for this year even though there is two other 4 star qbs on the team.

What will the excuse be when we don't get this kid? NIL getting outbid? Meanwhile LSU is pumping out NFL wideouts left and right, and we have Pope... It's time to get rid of assistant coaches that underperform. Ohio State spent 20 mill to out talent us, and it was obvious.
We are already starting to beat Bama and UF regularly with the less talented team. We beat TAMU and LSU a couple years ago with less talented teams. So what else would you like to piss and moan about?

Yes, but if our brand new QB can read a defense at all we will have a lot of improvement.
Ideally Aguilar brings his playbook with him we find a way to implement some similar type of concepts they ran at app state. Everyone knows the offense needs some refreshing. Hopefully Seth and Landry can bring some balance to the running and passing game

The gap between their total points on the 247 team rankings is higher now than it was then though
While you are figuring out how math works, here's some Tristen Keys news.

VQ

Tristen Keys continues to have fantastic dialogue with Tennessee. Texas A&M is also pushing hard in this one. LSU wants to hold onto him but it has felt like things are trending away from Baton Rouge for a bit now.

Guess I’m part of “everyone”, and I don’t know the offense needs concept refreshing? I certainly don’t think someone with CJH’s long and successful resume is likely to learn much from a college QB who’s bounced from JC to App St to here. CJH has likely forgotten more than Agular knows about football.

What our offense needs is someone who can pass the ball consistently and accurately to the correct receiver and we’ll be very successful. JMO

you really need to understand the context behind the numbers you are trying to spout, because you are missing some key factors.

first, we were talking about blue chip ratio, you are changing the subject here to totals.

secondly, if you look at the average you will see our average has gone slightly up (89.54 vs 89.25) while Georgia's average has gone down (92.85 vs 93.16). which starts to point to what you are missing in the context.

thirdly, looking at the total score its because we have fewer players than they do. 247 lists us with 84 vs Georgia's 85.

our score is 858.67 with 84 players. thats a little over 10 pts per player.
so with 85 players our score would be somewhere around 868, which would mean we are closing the gap. its a small amount, but its happening.

the difference between our current totals has grown by 1.89. so if you factor that extra 10ish points from having 85 players we would be +8 instead of -1.89.

Tristen is the #1 WR in the country. He isn't going to be threatened by anyone ATM has committed. That saying I think he ends up here. To me he is like this year's Sanders. The coaches are willing to pay whatever it takes to get him in the orange.

You hearing something from your connections?

I am simply reading the leaves. I’ve hit my contacts up about keys and, while very confident, they aren’t operating with any more info than we are; dude is keeping it close to the vest and on good counsel imo

That said I’ve seen this play out too many times and it’s feeling very very David Sanders Drew Richmond Rouse
