I mean that's the status quo for any high ranked WR or for that matter any #1 player at his postion. Its hard to be optimistic with the recent success LSU has had with Wrs and then add to that the lack of success wrs coming from our offense have once they hit the NFL.He wants to be here. LSU just made him a better offer. If we can match it, or come close to it we’ll get him
Magbe. I don’t think its a given he would be gone if we land him though. Our staff/collective has kept a lot of talent that could of easily transferred. I think they’re pretty good at it. The Nico thing is a weird situation doesn’t apply imo. Other than that maybe Jakobe Thompson is the only one that got away imo. I don’t think the staff wanted Squirrel to go but I don’t think yeah were that bothered by it either.Even if he signs with Tennessee, if someone, (Ohio state), recruits him after the season he’s gone anyway.
All about money now. They couldn’t care any less what school it is.

Ultimately though your view point has a lot of truth to it. It’s why I don’t follow HS recruiting as much anymore. It’s hard to care as much when you know they could be gone before they even contribute or right after they make a splash. I will still say, it’s better to land these kids and have to retain them then never get them outta high school and hope you get the transfer down the line
it was the luck of development of WR in the league.Ill say this. Even in the NIL era, it was weird when computer to LSU in the first place. All the traction was us. Whispers of A&M perhaps. All I could think at the time was two reasons. It’s a ploy to just keep bidders going up in the dough, or the reason I believe was he knew he’d get payed well anywhere and commited to where he thought he’d get developed best. The combination of those two I believe are probably big factors atm but if it was a decision of vibes alone and where he likes being the best, think we’d have a layup here.
