I know multiple threads. But, what is the likely positioning and rotation of WRs now? Losing 6'4" Hunter do we move 6'3" Rodgers to that spot? Arnett likely to take Hunter's #2 spot? Milton provides size but has under achieved versus his hype early on. Zach Rogers move inside for slot position? I'm not playing coach, but opinions on most likely used sets moving forward?

Zack Rogers who is afarid to catch the ball. His speed is not an advantage when you are chicken to catch the ball for fear of being hit. He needs to ride the bench

Zach is not very good. He can make a great play, but its only when he is completely wide open.

I hope that it is the start of a realization that the offense must be more rounded, and steps up the run game....

I'll be happy to see Arnett get some good playing time. I was pretty excited when we picked him up last year. I know that Justin Hunter will be impossible to replace, he's probably the most athletic player on the team, and my heart sank when I saw him come down on his knee like that, but hopefully with Arnett getting good experience this year as a true freshman, he'll be good to go next year in the slot. Hopefully a Rogers, Hunter, and Arnett set of wideouts will be a spectacle to see in 2012, especially if Bray keeps progressing as he has been.

Why is Zach getting criticized for alligator arms when Da'Rick was just as bad?

i hope they play Milton a lot more. Arnett made some really nice catches, and Rivera has really come around at TE. I just think Zach cannot play wr in this league. He's not physical enough, and doesn't look fast at all. Its almost like watching Steven Pearl play basketball. the buffalo game should really help with the confidence level of our young and inexperienced wrs. If we can get two wrs to step up this year, we will look really good next spring when Hunter is back.

B/c he didnt make any good plays to counteract that - his own mother can't seriously be happy with his performance against florida - terrible game

Zach might have straight line speed but he is a complete stiff. I always hear good things from the coaches so I keep expecting to see it on the field but I never have. Other then Da'Rick who doesn't have elite speed we really don't have anyone to stretch the defense now unless Rajion show's up but he will be in the slot. Teams are going to try to take Da'Rick out of the equation and man up on everyone else. Our passing game can still be good but without the big strike capability Tyler is going to have to be much more patient. If he throws as many balls into coverage as he did Saturday it's going to get ugly. Da'Rick and Zach wide with Arnett and Dallas in the slot. I really don't know what's up with Rajion I guess Dooley didn't like him fumbling in the Cincinnati game but we didn't block anybody on the play and Rajion got hit by about ten people at once.

I know this has been discussed but I'm assuming Hunter will get a medical red-shirt with no problems? Correct? So, that being said, does he get his sophomore year of eligibility back? I guess going into the 2012 season he will still have 3 football seasons of eligibility? Injury likely to really effect track but opinions of his physicals in football being effected? Great or little with surgery?

Fans are needing a release to vent their frustration after losing the game and Hunter for the season. Rogers, Rogers, and Rivera all had bad drops in the game. The bottom line is all the receivers are going to have to step it up. Z Rogers is a part of that for now, but if he doesn't start catching the ball then the coaches are going to have no other choice but to look further down the depth chart.

Neal needs to be running the ball. Or at least attempting to. I know we can't "run block" but we have to find someone that can make a defender miss occasionally. Even trying Devrin Young (tiny as hell) may equate to making a move or two and running up field. The old half-back position reinstated? Little guys are squirrels. Rainey, McCluster, Demps, etc.

Our game plan for running the ball this year was a token run here and there just to try to keep the defense honest. We were going to live or die by the passing game. To win agaist elite SEC teams especially without Hunter that has to change. It hard for the O-line to open holes when every run is between the tackles. Defenses are just sucking down inside and stuffing it. If you zone block and run between the tackles every time like we have been you have to find space between (8-10) 300 lb+ players. Not an easy task especially when your running back doesn't make sharp cuts and lacks burst. JaRon Toney could out rush Poole in this offense.

I can't imagine that coming into play. Hunter will not be here 5 years. If the recovery goes well, he may be gone after next year.

Because Da'rick has made huge catches two games in a row in the endzone while being hit by two different players. Zach and Da'rick are not the same in regards to that.

Zach has never shown the ability to catch the ball consistently. He does have good straight line speed but it takes a lot more than that to be a good WR.

This.

Not that the passing attack was bad for us as a team, but it's not that a Zach Rogers or De'Anthony Arnett has to step into a Hunter role.

I think Dooley sees that this team HAS to be able to run the ball, dedication to this NOW will cushion the blow of losing Hunter and will make the team that much more dangerous and well rounded coming into next year.

EDIT: Note, that if we aren't able to run the ball though, then dedication to the run game does nothing. Gotta be productive running the football. Period.

I think Chaney will use Rivera a lot more...there's a good chance you'll see a lot of Da'Rick Arnett and Rivera as the 3 wide if neither Milton nor Zach pick it up, then Downs will be the TE in that set...JMO
