Movies you've seen recently II

I didnt get the hype with Warfare. I didnt think it was that good.
If I'm not in the mood for whatever it is I'm watching I won't waste time on it. Sometimes I don't realize I'm not in the mood until I've already started watching.

About 20 minutes in I wasn't feeling Warefare and had no idea what was even going on so I just quit watching.

I don't understand how that's weird, but don't really care either.

I thought I was weird thinking it was weird to watch a movie in its entirety if you weren't enjoying it.
I watched for the realism. I was in Iraq, so I wanted to see the portrayal. The flow of the film or story telling is what I didn't care for. I'd give the film a 5/10, it wasn't bad, but wasn't an 8 or higher like it was hyped to be.

So it checked the boxes for realism? Any that you've seen that you think realistic?

"No One Can Save You" 2023, HULU
Excellent acting by the star, Kaitlyn Dever
Very few if any words spoken.
In the end this movie was not worth watching. A waste of time.

Saw the new JP movie this week as it was the “Mystery Monday” show. Decent enough, nothing earth shattering. 28 Years Later was great, the ending was a bit off from the rest of the movie, but after doing some reading, I think it’s the lead in to a spin off follow-up movie. F1 was excellent. See it on the biggest screen you can find.

I finished it, but I struggled. Definitely liked the first better.

Guess I'll give Warfare another shot. Only got about 25 minutes in before I gave up.

What in God's name. You won't like it if you keep watching, lol.

You don't know that Mr. Movie expert. Lol. Now that I know what its about I might get into it if the mood strikes me for something like that.

I enjoy listening to American Pie just for what it is now that I'm okay with not understanding it.

I thought that slow burn beginning set up the tension amazingly. I was thoroughly immersed. The attention to detail on the mundane aspects of operations was something I had never seen before, and I was totally taken by it. It's as good as the rest of the movie where the action takes place

Watched Thunderbolts today. Meh. I couldn’t stand Black Widow and didn’t enjoy Yelena either. They are both as lame as Hawkeye.

Jurassic World- Rebirth

Ended up being better than I thought it was going to be. Thought it had a good mixture of some good comedy, serious moments, and a bit more "scary" moments. Wasn't the best but wasn't the worst Jurassic movie

We just saw JW Rebirth too. Some parts were expected, and some weren't. I liked the ending. A lot.

The Brutalist. 8.5/10 Visually stunning. Adrien Brody brings all he has. Very long but you dont' really feel it. Recommended for a rainy day and you really want to dive into to post WWII brutalist architecture.
