Most Hated Opposing Coaches

i hate him because EVERYBODY loves him, including espn and all the media... and all his recent success. basically, im kinda jealous for the guy. also, i hate the way EVERYBODY on his USC teams are so egotistical and think that they are above the entire nation just bc they go to school in LA

The fans are far worse trust me.

He was above .500. For college coaches in the nfl that puts him in elite company.
He had a losing record with the Jets. In New England, his teams got worse each year. Patriot fans see him as the idiot who coached between Parcells and Belichick.

he didn't have much to work with at either place. in the NFL the GM is far more important than the coach IMO. I don't think any coach is worth 8 mil a year (which is apparently what Carroll asked the dolphins for).

Carroll wanted full control of everything there, including GM.

Strange, the Patriots were in the Super Bowl the year before he got there and won 3 championships upon his departure.

Look at the major contributors for those 3 championship teams and find how many were on the team when carroll coached them. Not many.

The vast majority of their defense was there when Carroll was the coach. McGinnest, Bruschi, Johnson, Malloy, Law, etc. The guy was simply a bad NFL coach.

Bledsoe,Troy Brown, Lawyer Milloy for the 1st one, Ty Law, the kicker can't spell his name, Willie McGinest. This is just off the top of my head.

I don't know if I would put Drew "I can't even get out of my own way" Bledsoe on that list. He's not exactly the smartest QB I've ever seen when the heat is on, either.

spurrier... but, yes, i also respect him

i'm not a giant fan of mack brown either

there'll be more to add once we move on to other sports

Easy there! Mack Brown is my Cavalier brother from Cookeville! He played ball with my Dad. He also took the time to send me a very kind note when he found out that my Dad passed away in '04.

Yeah but he was under center for the first SuperBowl trip and Carroll had him when he was a coach there.

It should be noted that belichick wasn't exactly a success at cleveland. In the right situation I'm sure carroll could be successful in the pros.

edit: and bledsoe played in one playoff game, but brady was the qb for the majority of the season and postseason.

If not for Bledsoe in the AFC title game in Pittsburgh, there would have been no Super Bowl trip.

The fact that the second brady (an inexperienced average at best qb his first season) replaced bledsoe at QB, the patriots started winning, tells you all you need to know about bledsoe as a QB.

What does Bledsoe leading the Patriots to the Super Bowl when Parcells was there say?
