Lets just hope that somehow D-Mo and the UT coaches find a way to get him enrolled again. Maybe summer classes or something...

It may be just me, but I don't think this is really all that big of a deal. Sure it hurts from a depth standpoint, but Morley was never very good and was in danger of getting replaced near the end of the season by Wardlow before he got in trouble. Maybe this frees up a scholly for somebody better to come in.

No offense to Morley, but if you can't get done what you're supposed to get done on and off the field, good riddance.

You're right. Wardlow is a capable starter... and D-Mo should have been handling his business.

I bet he'll be back in College Football some way some how. At either Miami, FIU, UCF, FAU.......

The GPA you must have to stay in good standing in Tennessee is 2.0. Trust me I know, I got on probation at a Tennessee State school. I was awarded readmission and brought it back up. My GPA when I got on it was like a 1.95.

So I'm guessing he can just transfer and play again? I'm not sure........

He could also wait a year and re-apply for admission to UT, without losing a year of eligibility. He's got a few options.

miami can have him. if he isn't responsible enough to keep his grades up, he shouldn't be able to play.

this is one of those guys that we were all supposed to be pumped about. we went in to s. fl and got this kid. he got all the rave reviews you could want coming out of HS. and here we are two years later and it's a bust? this sucks.

if there is anything that eases it a little is that we are pretty deep at defensive back in this next recruiting class.

but this still sucks.

What are you talking about? He represents the University of Tennessee and the football program. Have you not heard the media talk about UT's off-the-field issues over the last few years?

Very, Very, Very true, but when it runs across the screen it will say UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE defensive back..........

I share the same opinion as you about the ordeal but it's just another feather in the cap of the reputation of Tennessee football for Tennessee haters and the reputation of Phil and making sure his players get things done.

I mean back when Ontario Smith pulled out the wizzzzanator I heard more of "he used to play at Tennessee" than "he used to play at Oregon". People love to kick things when there down.

Louisville was the hub for players when they get kicked out of another D1 school under Petrino. I am not sure if it is still that way now.

I'm also under the impression that if you play football at UT all you need to do to get a C is go to class and turn in papers.

I may be way off in that assumption but I played baseball at a much, much, much smaller school in Tennessee and honestly thats all I had to do to get at least a C. The reason I didn't get a 2.0 is simply I didn't go, but I manned up and started going and I'm about to graduate next year.

There is only so much you can do for people, at some point they have to do for themsleves. The university represents itself here with the stance of not allowing somone that did not keep their grades up to register for classes. Not sure how that makes the university look bad.
