More NFL Draft buzz for Josh Dobbs

Cool story, bro post but there's no chance Dobbs leaves early. We've had a few classes together and it seems he's actually a bit behind as far as course hours go. Not like it's a bad thing but he'll need either 4.5/ 5 years to get his degree. Considering it would've guaranteed him another year, he seemed a bit annoyed having to burn his redshirt.

That's the only thing that can explain why they tried to redshirt him when he was obviously the answer at QB

I love Josh and he has most of the tools necessary to be a NFL QB. Intelligence, leadership, strength, speed. He needs to improve his touch and accuracy. IMO he's just not ready yet.

That article is very complimentary of Dobbs, but I honestly don't think he has shown the arm to play at the next level. Watching Mariota in his first game with the Titans it was evident to me that his arm strength and accuracy are well beyond Dobbs.

Arm strength is not a question when it comes to Dobbs. Touch and accuracy are fair criticisms, but Dobbs has a gun.

What Dobbs does in the classroom doesn't show on the football field.

He has no pocket presence ( or pocket presents for that matter), can't make decisions on his own at the LoS, and can't read a defense. His arm strength is there, his accuracy is not. Nor does he have any sort of touch with the ball at all. He's nowhere near a first round pick right now, and he has miles to go before he makes it as one next year.

No nfl team will pick Dobbs to run an offense. He can't throw. He takes too many sack fumbles.

He can run. That's it.

Zero NFL teams want that.

Wait, this forum is about J. Dobbs, but you've described Johnny McCrary. Glad I could help. :good!:

No, I don't follow Vandy. If Dobbs qb ability is on par with McCrary's, I'll take your word for it. Thanks for the enlightenment.

Not as strong as Bray's and not even close to Shulers.

You've become completely blinded in your Dobbs obsession.

:loco:

All things equal right now, Dobbs is my least favorite quarterback since I've been following Tennessee, which would be since Kelly. That said, his arm strength is at least average. Comparing strength to Shuler and Bray is putting him in an an upper level echelon. That's not really fair imo. There's too many other knocks on Dobbs as a qb.

Other than his toughness, Worley never lived up to the hype and either didn't have the strength or the vision to throw the ball downfield

The NFL will eat Josh Dobbs alive . I like him a lot but he is not a complete QB . has serious ball security issues . He does a lot running the ball but in the NFL he will take a beating running the ball. I would rather see this kid follow his dreams into space .

Why? Have you watched any NFL games this year? Lots of mediocre QB play besides the legit playoff contenders.

What I've seen in NFL QB's this year, especially the quality of backups or lack thereof, makes you wonder if there is a conspiracy to keep Tebow out of the NFL. There is no way Tebow cannot legitimately out perform 50% or better of all backups and probably a few starters. Not being a homer, but seriously. The crap some teams retain as QB's and Tebow cant get a job.

You're not going anywhere with this. It's like saying Jones is great because he's better than Dools

I've already demolished your claim that Worley was better than Dobbs..you seem to have a dislike for Jones and carry it over to Dobbs..NFL scouts have said that he is one of the top QBs in 2017 and he will get drafted

I never ever said that Worley was better than Dobbs

Being the fifth best qb in 2017 isn't something to write home about

Don't tell that to these arm chair talent evaluators. Apparently NFL teams know nothing about talent evaluation since they're very interested in Dobbs.

hate to say it but I think some of this fanbase wants to go back to the type of QBs we always had before Condredge

5 out of 186 is something to write home about..that means that he is higher rated than 98% of other QBs

Theres 186 quarterbacks available in the 2017 draft? Serious question.

Also, the fifth qb selected last year went in the fourth round. Yea, whoo.

Also, want to go ahead and remove your foot from your mouth in the Worley garbage?
