]I get what you’re saying but teams like Bama never said after they beat us. Man they had 30 players portal, man I wished they were at full strength h3ll we even got 1 of those 30 playing LB. I just don’t feel good about beating someone with depleted roster. No they take the win and don’t look back. It’s their culture and it’s working for them. They have by far the best recruits nationwide and don’t feel sorry for anyone they destroy hook or crook. If you want guys who just look at your win/loss record and not who you play, recruiting would be much better if we dropped to the Southern conference.
I'd prefer recruits who have a clue about football.
Sure, it's a W and better than an L. No arguments there and no apologies for winning.]I get what you’re saying but teams like Bama never said after they beat us. I actually think it CAN be big. With all these bowl cancellations, we are the day before the playoffs and recruits and transfers will be watching. We could, and SHOULD put up a big show. Could sway a few guys. UT has its eye on a few big time transfers and hearing in February will flip a few big recruits. It can help, trust me.Sure, it's a W and better than an L. For recruiting though, I don't think a Purdue win in the 2021 Music City Bowl pushes us over the hump for an elite recruit. Saban will go recruiting with a fist full of rings, and possibly a new one, not a plaque from the 2021 Music City Bowl.
It's about having perspective on what a win in this bowl actually means. We overachieved, for sure, but calling a win in the 2021 Music City Bowl "huge for recruiting" as some are in this thread are is just too much for me.
I think the exciting offense CAN sway guys but there's WAY better film from the season than we're likely to see in Nashville. Rust from the layoff, bowl jitters, guys out, etc makes for more mistakes.I actually think it CAN be big. I'll never understand this line of thinking. Beating someone that's nowhere near their best means exactly what? If it's just a win hell let's move to the MAC. We can get all kinds there
Actually We were slated to play WVU in the Liberty bowl last season...Not the music city bowl...We didn't play because of covid. If this game gets cancelled, this will be the second straight Music City Bowl that Tennessee has not participated in and therefore would UT consider playing in future Music City Bowls???????????????
Never thought I’d see a proud program like A&M dodge a game
People being careless with their words is causing this thing to be worse. If you can’t see that I can’t help you.
