After watching some of Montana's highlights , I feel more convinced that they just don't match up with the vols defensive strength and speed. Now if we come out sloppy and play like a bunch of fog headed punks , we could have some problems.
When you play Montana you dont send a message even if you win by 60

There's a reason Montana was picked like #10 in FCS.....not that good. AF was different, they're D1 and better athletes and they always play everyone tough. This should be somewhat close to UT-Martin, although I think they'll at least score some points

After watching the high-lights of some of the Grizz games from last year, it's gonna be a long day for ya'll. You beat N. Dakota by 10 and they went 3-8. You lost to Weber St. 30-21 and they went 6-5. You pulled out a last second win against Northern Arizona 24-21 another 6-5 team. I really admire your confidence in your team. You have to come to realize that you will not be playing one of these teams. You will be playing one of the Big Boys, an SEC team on the rise, with a running game and passing attack that you don't run into every week playing in the Big Sky. We will wear you down running the ball and open that up with an aerial assault that will leave you saying WOW!
I've read that their o line is huge and athletic. They run an option offense. I'm wondering if anyone thinks they will give us trouble. I remember Air Force almost beat us with the option a few years ago. Hopefully the talent advantage and our improved coaching will shut them down.

I was thinking the same thing...
I know AF gave us some problems and it seems we have traditionally had issues defending this kind of offense. I could be wrong but I think Wilcox is more familiar with defending it.
I seem to be one of the few on here that think Wilcox will turn out to be an excellent DC. It's hard to judge this staff in general from last year based on stats and W's, but given the talent they were working with I think we have got some really good coaches.
I'm anxious to see everything come together once the coaches get the players they are wanting. It's already starting to happen, but we are certainly on the up & up.
It's not going to be a 50-point margin. The Vegas line was somewhere in the high teens last time I checked.
I bet Montana scores at least twice.
