Anyone picking this up when it comes out in 2 weeks? I'm hesitant because of last years turd that 2k sports gave us but I need a new game to play. There are some good things that are supposed to be in this years game...
60 FPS in gameplay
Revamped dynasty (More stats, more realistic simulations, new progression system, more features, breakable records, mlb.com, etc.)
Simplified pitching mechanics
other little stuffs...

The new player progression system has me the most excited. Demo comes out next week.

I love baseball games and it's the option so I'm sure I'll end up getting it.

I would like for someone to create a game with only all the old stadiums and teams.

It doesn't need to be an annual game but a one time deal. I would love that.

I hope that they could somehow add team play on this like NHL09 and NBA2K9/Live. Would be pretty cool if you would have a team made up of your buddies and take turns at the plate and play a certain position, I think it would work almost as good as NHL

I could see that getting really boring for some people, depending on what position they are playing and only getting to bat every couple of innings.

If I had of know The Show was only on PS3 I would have gone with that. That is how good I think The Show is.

Just played the demo for MLK 2K9 and I will definitly pick this one up this year. I think that they made some good changes and the gameplay seems really smooth. Also the living roster that they had with NBA 2K9 will be in the game this year. Hot and cold streaks that go along with the real life players sounds pretty sweet.

so you guys would stick me in RF and hope for the best?

Really, sounds like a badass idea, the time is coming, i think. Team play is the new thing, it works for everything but football (well,you could always stick the new guy at guard?)

I am looking foward to going yard on Mason and Train with this one. This game, from what I see in the demo, has made a 180 as far as graphics and gameplay.

Just read a few impressions of the final build of the game and it seems to be solid. There is some issues with the franchise mode and some other issues, but VC will have a patch ready on release day.

I havent seen this on any impressions or anything, but does this year have a online league or anything??? Would be nice to get one going if it does.

Hey cat i know you worried about comming to Columbus just man up play week 11 game so we can get it on.Jtrain you need 2 play also.BTW if we start a league igot the Bosoxs

By the way Mason, those "ratings" that you were referring to about MLB2K9 off of OS were not reveiws, they were "hype" ratings. The game has not been officially reviewed as of yet.
