MLB 13 The Show

Do most of you guys do analog hitting?

I played detroit last night and Verlander 1 hit me thru 8. Pretty frustrating.

I loved the analog hitting from 2K and was pretty happy they brought it to the Show a couple of years ago. I feel like I have much more control in hitting the ball and have more success finding gaps. It takes a while to get used to it vs the button but its worth it when you finally get the hang of it.

Does seem you get more gap shots and line drives on hit stick vs buttons.

I agree 1000%.

I found the sticks to be much more intuitive as well, as far as trying to drive the ball, especially

Just picked this up. Currently downloading that file to decrease load times. Think I'm gonna jump right into RTTS

I bought 12 last year and did not play it much because I sucked and could not hit. After my first game of 13, I dropped down to beginner mode and it really helps in hitting and pitching. Slowly working my way up, just finished a few games on rookie and won pretty easily (destroyed Matt Cain my last game). I am not swinging at many balls outside the strike zone and my timing is good. Pulse pitching and Analog + Zone hitting are the way to go IMO. The graphics are really good. I noticed the sweat on the coaches hats in the dugout and there are also some other cool little things. I am really enjoying this game.

may have to try this. i wish i were good at this game and wish the game were better.

I've been absolutely destroying the ball with Justin Upton and Jason Heyward. Up 2-0 on the Phillies in the series

something else you can look at which i've had to do to get the hang of it in years past is move it back up a level but in the individual sliders knock a few of them back down, pitch speed always seemed to be a good one to lower a couple ticks

It's all about taking your time at the plate and looking at 2 pitches before swinging IMO. I see much better pitches when I get at least 3-4 pitches deep at the plate

This is my thing. I can grind out ABs once in awhile, especially if I make myself take until first strike, but even if I work it to two men on I can't get an xbh to make it a big inning. And then, after that, I curse.
