MLB 10: The Show

i can't say that i wouldn't have shut it down a time or two if i started getting real close to the 56 too. at least you're man enough to admit it

Trust me.. I came close.. but you learn to become selective when you only get one AB a game..

I think I pinch hit 5-6 times during the streak, and walked 4-5 times, and got a hit the other time.

Stupid logic, why would a manager put someone in a game with a 55 game hit streak, for one at bat while leading by 7 in the 9th inning?

My favorite was going 0-5 in the first 9 innings, watching my pitcher give up 4 in the 9th to get me another AB and getting a walk off to win in the 11th.

man I went home for lunch and it was freezing up like crazy on RTTS. I even put in a couple more games and played for an hour or so with nothing. anyone else having freezing issues?

The only time my game freezes is during pre game batting practice...but that only happens rarely.

True my job can be awesome, if it wasn't for the paying the bills thing and all, cause yall know realtors make all the bank these days. But I guess we are still eating!

i hear ya man, i never claimed i actually work when i'm there, i just can't leave to go play the show when i want. well come to think of it i probably could break away here and there if i really wanted to.

So my stuff kept freezing up to the point where I took it back to wally world and got a new one and it froze so I simmed a week and seemed to fix it. My guy is still with the New Britian Rock Cats which Jtrain said is like a chester cheata type animal, I am now batting .301 on a 15 game streak, and my manager tells me that he knows i am ready to move foward but he's just not moving me up just yet, so I complain all the time about team chemistry since we are 25 games back its not hurting anything, I ask for trades and I have been on the block with no takers, I am stuck in northern HELL. luckily I am almost positive we will NOT be playing october.

Still in AAA in my second year after blazing through AA in 2 months of the first year.

I restarted last night for some reason, and started on a tear. However, my guy must hate moving, as after 4 trades after June 1 my average has dropped 60 points.

I like the more "Positive Results" this year... My goal was "Drive in a run" and I hit into a double play, but did advance a guy to third for 15pts.

but you can also fail on a hit and run by slapping one the other way and having dummy thrown out at 3rd

One thing I've noticed is WAYYY too many trades. I was nearly MVP 2 seasons ago, had 1 year left on my deal, got traded from San Diego to Boston, and then to Detroit 3 days later. This was all in the offseason too!

Then, after the season, I was set to be a free agent, I had my 6 years in, and only Detroit offered me a deal, I didn't accept and had to try out for a team.. that's a little bit insane.

I agree with the trade thing.... My trade made no sense. I was easily a top 5 maybe 3 AAA player. Granted I had to beat out Big Tex at first in the Bronx but my secondary position is the OF where the Yanks have room to grow.

Steve McQueen is still stuck with the Mariners, I was drafted by Boston, which I liked, was traded to the Dodgers, which was cool, then to the Twins, which i liked, but now I'm a Mariner. I hate the Mariners.

This makes no sense... I'm 3rd in the batting order and it's my day to rest. We have a 11-5 lead in the 7th and they pinch hit me. No injuries....

I cant get away from the Rays. Last year played with them for 5 seasons....This year drafted by them...Currently in year 2 at AAA. I hate the Rays.

The first guy I made was drafted by the Rays...Scrapped him, made another guy, only to be drafted by the damn Rays!

i'm curious if the american league is better to play in than the national league like last years version was. the reason i say it's better is that you don't get stuck in all these pinch hit spots since you don't have a pitcher to bat for. i had a guy last year in boston that best as i recall didn't have all these pinch hit appearances. is anyone in the show yet that can shed something on this, from an AL side of things?
