That post reminds me that after losing Jodi, I decided I needed to better myself, lose a few pounds, and get buff. I even started to save up to buy a Jet Ski. I went on a diet that was pretty much 100% protein. Only carbs I got were from beer.
I had no idea until I was a few weeks in that this diet makes a mess of your digestive system. My supervisor even moved me to a cubicle on the other side of the building that was under renovation after a couple people complained to HR.
Anyhow, my gains were totally worth it because the check out girl at GNC agreed to go to ”Dune: Part Two” with me. I knew sitting next to her for two hours was risky, so I went to CVS and bought Phazyme Ultimate 500mg on the way to meet her at the theater. Turns out i was allergic to it. I broke out in a rash and my tongue swelled up a little bit. She could tell I was uncomfortable and asked what was wrong. Due to the swelling, my reply sounded like “I shink I having wedgie“ when I was trying to say “I think I’m having an allergic reaction”.
I was too embarrassed to fess up to the fact that I took triple the recommended dose of gas pills. She got up halfway through the movie to go to the bathroom and never came back. I’ll chalk it up to a learning experience. Other than having to drive a few extra miles to the next closest GNC, no harm was done.
