Milton named starter

Milton isn't bad but he's definitely not good. I guess let him play because he has "upside".
I've seen 3 qbs so far and none are amazing but I still think Hooker is your best shot.
Hopefully Milton proves me wrong but seems like he's an awesome practice player that shuts down at game time at least in what he has shown so far.

Milton is bad. His stats prove that. If JG had these stats we would be trashing him.

I see yoU conveniently left out some crucial stats. Cam had 3 passing TDs, to go along with 171 rushing yards and 2 TDs. Can accounted for 357 total yards and 5 TDs.

Please stop with your idiocy.
Well I meant his 2nd game against Miss. state.

Nah, im going to continue my idiocy. It gives me that normal feeling after reading BS like you spew on here.

This box is filled with all of the similarities between Joe Milton and Cam Newton.

Milton may overthrow everything but he has the best “command presence” of the three. I like Hooker too and if Milton starts we likely see both of them if it’s not going well.

There is also an old adage that you don’t lose your starting job to injury. This could be that and if the overthrows persist HH comes in. Only way to know is who is getting reps with the ones.

I say whoever starts - whether it’s the BiG Dog Milton or Medium Dog Hooker - I hope they get better line plane up front. If not it will get ugly as usual when we can’t run or get protection in the swamp.
I do see a difference in the way the defenses play against Milton - he’s pretty dang intimidating looking much as the aforementioned Cam Newton. They know he can just flip it over the top and is a load to handle running the ball. it would have been nice if he could of finished that long run against Pitt and got into the end zone - kinda ran out of gas at the end. Regardless I just want to see them compete hard and finish the plays much as they’ve been doing this year - sure beats the crap we saw last year. The gators are the most hated rival in my opinion and maybe we win dang turnover battle this time and keep it close or upset them. The swamp will be rocking on Saturday night so I hope the team is ready.

Milton is a multi-dimensional QB. He has the ability to make things happen. Not saying he will but, I think just the sheer fact that he can scramble, run and toss the pigskin 200 yards on a rope flat footed is why Coach Mott the Heupel is standing behind him, that is, till at least the second quarter. Go Vols

You’re setting up a false premise. I don’t base my opinion of Josh Heupel’s ability to evaluate and develop a QB on UT’s performance over the last 15 years. That would be moronic. A person with any sense would base their opinion Josh Heupel’s ability on the things Josh Heupel has done. And he’s been a QB wizard.

It’s strange that this has to be explained.

Wizard? Seems kinda foolish to label him that, unless you think UCF is a powerhouse.

It's not strange that I had to explain that

During the Wednesday "Coach's Teleconference" Heupel said "no decision yet." Of course one surely has been made, he's just not telling.
