ICE Nabs ‘Dirtbag’ Chinese Illegal Immigrants Preying On Elderly New Yorkers

Immigration agents nabbed multiple “dirtbag” Chinese illegal immigrants caught preying upon vulnerable elderly New Yorkers — including one who is accusing of ripping off a retiree for $42,000.

The feds collared Jian Chen on July 8 after he allegedly “hatched a scheme” to steal the huge sum from a 63-year-old retiree in the village of Potsdam near the St. Lawrence River in northern New York, according to Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

He later asked the elderly woman to meet in her town and hand over an additional $98,000.

Trump Admin Charges Business Owner For Hiring Illegal Alien Workers

The employer stands accused of paying to smuggle illegal aliens into the United States before hiring them for his restaurant.

The Trump administration is charging an illegal alien business owner in Arizona for knowingly employing other illegal aliens in his food truck business.

Federal prosecutors hit illegal alien business owner 42-year-old Blademir Angulo Audeves with several crimes after Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) took him into custody in Phoenix early this month.

The Mexican national, is believed to have hired at least a dozen illegal aliens to work at his restaurant chain, Taqueria El Taco Loko. Every single one of his workers, federal authorities say, were in the country illegally.

He now faces several federal charges, including the Harboring of an Illegal Alien, Knowingly Employing Unauthorized Aliens, Improper Entry by an Alien, and Alien in Possession of a Firearm.

Court documents indicate, according to one report, that the Mexican illegal alien paid the smuggling costs for some of his employees, fronting $12,000 a piece to traffic the illegal alien workers into the United States with the expectation that they would pay him back.

One of the world's most notorious drug cartel leaders could very well destabilize the Mexico government as he plans to reveal all he knows about corrupt officials.

Joaquín 'El Chapo' Guzmán's son, Ovidio Guzmán López pleaded guilty to two counts of drug conspiracy and two counts of knowingly engaging in a continuing criminal enterprise before a federal judge in Chicago last Friday.

The 35-year-old jailed boss, who oversaw the Sinaloa Cartel's 'Los Chapitos' faction, agreed to cooperate with prosecutors who have accused him of distributing drugs and running a criminal enterprise.

New York and Illinois federal prosecutors alleged that Guzmán López and his three brothers assumed control of the Sinaloa Cartel once El Chapo was arrested in Mexico in 2016 and then extradited in 2019 to the United States, where he is serving a life sentence at a Colorado super maximum-security prison.

The indictments indicated that the transnational drug trafficking organization made hundreds of millions by shipping, producing, and trafficking fentanyl to the United States.

Now Guzmán López's mea-culpa could very well open a Pandora's box into the Sinaloa Cartel's dealings with former and current law enforcement and government officials back home in Mexico.

His high-profile lawyer, Jeffrey Lichtman slammed the Mexican government while talking to reporters after leaving the courtroom.

'It's not so much of a surprise that somehow, for 40 years, the Mexican government, Mexican law enforcement, did nothing to capture who was probably the biggest drug dealer, perhaps in the history of the world,' he said.

Lichtman was referring to Ismael 'El Mayo' Zambada, who co-founded the cartel with El Chapo and had never been arrested until El Chapo's also jailed son, Joaquín Guzmán López, set him up and flew him across the border to Texas, where he turned himself in and El Mayo was captured.

'So what I would say to Pres. Sheinbaum is: perhaps she should look to her predecessors in the president's office and try to figure out why that happened, why there was never any effort to arrest,' the famous criminal lawyer said. 'I don't even know if Zambada has been charged in Mexico.'

In an X post on Friday night, Lichtman appeared to take another swipe at Sheinbaum for reportedly shielding criminal organizations.

'She can call as many hastily convened press conferences as she likes, but the people of Mexico (and myself) know that she acts more as the public relations arm of a drug trafficking organization than as the honest leader that the Mexican people deserve. I'll have more to say on this shortly.'

Dorothy Harbeck is both the Secretary-Treasurer for the National Association of Immigration Judges (NAIJ), a union representing judges who operate under the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) Executive Office of Immigration Review (EOIR), and a U.S. Immigration Judge serving in New York City Immigration Court.

Data from the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC), part of Syracuse University, reveals that Harbeck denied asylum in just 27.9 percent of the cases she adjudicated over the last five years. In total, she granted asylum to 523 individuals who appeared in her court, as well as some other type of relief to 10 more, while denying asylum to 206 individuals.

Her rate of denial for application cases is less than half of the nationwide average, as TRAC reported judges denied 57.7 percent of asylum requests during the period, whereas Harbeck denied less than one-third of asylum requests.

Top CEO of huge taxpayer-funded company is forced to step down over his immigration status

The head of Atlanta's transit agency has stepped down after losing legal authorization to work in the United States.

MARTA General Manager and CEO Collie Greenwood announced his early retirement following the expiration of his Employment Authorization Document (EAD), which allowed him to work in the U.S. as a Canadian citizen.

'Due to immigration and personal matters, [Greenwood] has chosen to leave his employment and elect early retirement,' Jonathan Hunt, MARTA's chief legal counsel, said.

Greenwood's work permit expired on June 18, according to The Atlanta Journal Constitution, and while he remains in the U.S. legally on a valid Canadian visa, his green card has not yet been issued.

In a statement, MARTA said Greenwood was 'recently notified that his Permanent Resident Card (green card) is forthcoming' and that, 'out of an abundance of caution,' he stopped working when his EAD expired.
