LA Menace seen handing out War-Time Masks during ICE Riots is Named and Shamed

The mystery donor who distributed war time masks to protesters during the Los Angeles riots has been arrested.

Alejandro Theodoro Orellana faces a charge of conspiracy to commit civil disorders after he allegedly distributed tactical gear to suspected rioters on Tuesday.

He was taken into custody by FBI agents Thursday morning, US Attorney Bill Essayli confirmed.

Shocking video recorded during a local Fox broadcast Tuesday showed dozens of demonstrators rushing towards a Ford F-150 as a woman in the truck bed passed out gas masks and riot shields.

Orellana is suspected to have been driving the truck at that time.

Peaceful demonstrations quickly turned into riots that saw downtown businesses looted, a major freeway blocked and vehicles set ablaze.

REPORT: Kamala Harris Quietly Phones In To Newsom’s Voicemail Box Amid LA Riots

Former Vice President Kamala Harris has recently been making phone calls to Democratic Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom to discuss the anti-Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) riots in Los Angeles, Politico reported Thursday.

Harris, a Los Angeles resident, was not able to reach Newsom over the phone, but left him a voicemail to show support, according to Politico. The report comes after anti-ICE riots broke out across Los Angeles over the weekend, causing President Donald Trump to deploy National Guard troops to the city.

Harris is reportedly considering whether to launch a bid for California governor in 2026 or run in the 2028 presidential race. The failed 2024 presidential candidate has set a deadline to decide whether to run for governor of California by the end of the summer, Politico reported in March.

Democrats Tested Immigration Messaging in Battleground Districts. Here’s what they found.

A survey by two key Democratic groups found focusing on Trump’s overreach blunts the president’s advantage on the issue.

A survey of likely voters seeks to offer Democrats a blueprint for how to punch back on an issue that’s vexed them in recent elections: immigration.

The poll, conducted in key 2026 battleground districts by Democratic-leaning groups Way to Win and Impact Research and shared first with POLITICO, argues that Democrats — with the right messaging — can drive down President Donald Trump’s strength on immigration by a net 10 percentage points.

Appeals court grants Trump short-term Win over Boasberg in immigration ruling

Judge Boasberg had given the Trump administration through Wednesday to submit to the court plans for how it would go about providing habeas relief to hundreds of migrants deported to El Salvador

A U.S. appeals court agreed to pause a lower court order requiring the Trump administration to provide due process to hundreds of Venezuelan migrants deported from the U.S. to El Salvador under the 1798 Alien Enemies Act in a near-term victory for the Trump administration.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit granted the Justice Department’s request for an administrative stay, putting on hold a lower court order handed down last week by U.S. District Judge James Boasberg.

***, "wartime" masks? Nobody has ever called them that, except this right wing rag. Gas masks aren't illegal and neither is handing them out, but real menacing headline you got there.

Judge Blocks Trump’s National Guard Deployment in Los Angeles

A federal judge on Thursday ruled President Trump must return control of California’s National Guard to Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) by Friday afternoon, prompting a lightning-fast appeal that began within minutes.

U.S. District Judge Charles Breyer, an appointee of former President Clinton, temporarily blocked the president from deploying thousands of guardsmen to Los Angeles, where protests over his immigration agenda have sometimes turned violent.

But the judge paused his order until Friday at noon PDT, giving the administration a quick window to try to fast-track an emergency appeal.

Pay attention to what this order says in addition to the words Breyer (appointrf by Clinton, brother to Stephen) used today during the hearing.

He repeatedly suggested Trump was acting as a "king" or as head of a "monarchy."

Politico: "At one point during the hearing, Breyer held up a pocket copy of the Constitution and waved it in front of (DOJ Attorney Brett) Shumate. After the DOJ attorney said Trump has broad powers over the military under the founding document, the judge said those weren’t the only issues implicated by the case.

'This is a country that champions the right to free speech and champions the right to redress grievances. That’s also in the book,' the judge said."

More Breyer: "That’s the difference between a Constitutional government and King George. It’s not that a leader can simply say something and it becomes it.”

With coast to coast protests set for Saturday--ones that undoubtedly will turn violent and last for days if not weeks--Breyer's opinion here establishes the precedent that Pres Trump cannot federalize National Guard troops to halt the chaos.

That is extremely dangerous.

=======================================

it's these corrupt activist Judges who are acting as Kings as if they control all the gov't branches and can legislate laws from the bench and control and order the executive branch telling the President what he can or cannot do.

This is one of the more remarkable judicial decisions I’ve ever read.If it stands, the Commander in Chief of all of the Nation’s forces is forcibly reduced to a commander in junior — junior to both Governor Newsom and junior to Judge Breyer.

And, as if that were not enough of a blunt insult to presidential power, Judge Breyer orders plaintiffs to post a mere $100 bond to get the benefit of the temporary injunction he just ordered to take effect at noon tomorrow. Jaw-dropping.

$100 of damage is a threshold easily exceeded by the damage that *just one rock* dropped or thrown from an overpass could cause to a passing vehicle. If you believe those saying some of the protesters are being paid $200 per day, the $100 — in total — is pocket change for just one small group of rioters to pay, let alone their lawyer collaborators.

$100 secures no rights whatsoever to the people of the United States, if Breyer is eventually reversed here. Judge Breyer makes a mockery of our Constitution as well as of both federal statutory and procedural law. He has not just abused his discretion, he has tortured it beyond all recognition.

Did that guy pay for them? If not who did. Were they stolen?

That particular brand goes for $65.00 on ULINE and he had like 4 or 5 cases in his truck, how many per case 8 or 12?
so you, a random person on the internet, not knowing where someone else got something means it must be a "wartime" product?

if the dude wanted to waste his money, so what. unless you have a reason to believe they were stolen, why jump to that conclusion?

yall sound like the Dems going after AR-15s for being weapons of war.

Well, well, well… seems Mr. Trump has decided to STOP DEPORTING illegal immigrants. How does that make you feel MAGA nutballs? Your champion xenophobe finally realized our country NEEDS illegal immigrants.

Donald Trump now also admits that illegal immigrant farmers are “GREAT”! And that’s a direct quote from the fat mouth of that jackass.

Ohhhhhh the irony.

Bring on your empty excuses and worthless whataboutisms. Tell me all about Trump’s 5D chess.

Your boy Trump just caved in on immigration. You were all played by the master demagogue of modern politics.

Enjoy!

Trump vows changes to immigration crackdown to protect migrant farmers, hotel workers

PER DONALD J. Trump:

"Our farmers are being hurt badly," Trump said during an event in the White House East Room when asked about his position. "You know, they have very good workers. They've worked for them for 20 years. They're not citizens, but they've turned out to be, you know, great."

Trump said he plans to sign an executive order to address the situation, adding that it will take a "common sense" approach. "We can't take farmers, take all their people and send them back because they don't have maybe what they're supposed to have, maybe not," Trump said.
