I appreciate the service but Brown has different options and it is totally irrelevant whether he could be holding an M-16. He could but how many of those carrying M-16's could carry the football at a Tennessee or USC?
uuuh you completely missed the point of that post.
The point was that most people on here are gving bb the excuse that he is "only 18" or "a little kid who misses mommy." Ok, whatever. You're 18-19 , time to grow up. Time to be a man. Mommy and coach Kiffin cant hold your hand forever.

I would also like to point out the FACT that the Navy hasnt done anything except act as a deterrant since WW2. The heroes are the jarheads and soldiers on the ground.
Totally agree. When I was 19 I was in the army stationed in Korea. Spent 8 months of my 14 months in country on the DMZ patrolling the North Korean boarder. BB is a baby, and I don't feel a bit sorry for him, after all, he could be in Irag carrying an M16, instead of being at Tennessee carrying a footbal. Cry me a handful, as a matter of fact don't, cause I don't care. Go Big Orange

I served 4yrs in the army went in right after high school. They try & sell u on the college money, free meals, free living quarters, etc. I promise none of it is is all they make it seem. The food is not that great & for a single soldier the living conditions & pay is awful. With that being said I wouldn't trade anything for the experiences it gave me. U learn to appreciate alot of **** u normally wouldn't. Heat, food, a shower, simple **** u take for granted everyday. I think every person should have to serve at least 2yrs in some branch of service.

would have been nice to get down there more than every 3d month or so, instead of being stuck in the hemherroid of the western corridor except for tdc maybe once a month.
I got to jagoff at CRC for my last 3 weeks before i ets'd because my squadron was in the field, Uijongbu was pretty decent too.

You know your country is going down the ****ter when different branches of service are going at each other's throats. Can we all just get along? I appreciate each and everyone of you guys' contributions. Whether it was on sea, on land, or in the air, you did our country proud.
