Just not very loyal so like I said before,its my opinion that he could coach at bama for 3 yrs then retire,after a title sure its possible. No man no Chavis for HC,just a DC.

Hat I see no logic in endorsing Kiffen & not Leach. that's the basis of my thoughts all along....we're "ok" on defense, we need help on offense bro....& lots of it.

1. Gruden obviously isn't coming.

2. Davis should not come. I don't want a guy that would leave a program after 2 years. It's clear that he's turning UNC into a strong program, but his work is far from over. He's said no repeatedly.

3. Cutcliffe shouldn't come back. He's good, but not great, AND he would be putting himself in the same position that Fulmer just came out of.

4. Kiffin scares the crap out of me. Unproven, only proven as a coordinator. He should have never been given the job at Oakland in the first place.

5. Leach has proven that his pass-happy system works in the Big 12, and that's the only conference that I've ever given props to besides the SEC. I'd let him try it here if he wanted to. I think he needs to take the next step. Also, we need the WRU tag to come back to us. With a successful, pass happy coach in the SEC, it'll be easy to attract amazing QB's, and thus, amazing all-around players.

Leach has my vote.

Leach is a native Californian who grew up in Wyoming, where he was raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He has a law degree from Pepperdine University, is obsessed with pirates and never played a down of college football.
Oh, one other thing: His offense averages 566.3 yards - or about 300 more yards per game than the Vols. That alone makes him worthy of consideration.
You can't fault UT for wanting to hire North Carolina coach Butch Davis. But if the interest isn't mutual, then the Vols at least should do their homework on Leach.
He has never had a losing season in nine years at Texas Tech and is averaging almost nine wins per season for the last seven years. Moreover, his innovative offense is about as far removed from UT's offense as a space shuttle is from a horse and buggy.
UT's offense needs more than a makeover. It needs a transplant.
So if you can't get Davis, check out Leach. And if it works out, how hard would it be to convert the Vol Navy to pirate ships?

Adams shows his true experise on his evaluation of Leach.

Who knows... our offense might put up 500ypg in the Big 12. It's not exactly the conference's calling card.

We need an offense that works well against great defenses. Leach's will not be tested in that way until January.

So over 8 season at TT in a weaker conference he has averaged 8 wins a season. Then when he comes to UT and plays UF, UGA, Alabama, LSU, etc. (hardest conference in country) he will just win 8 games a year that easy, just by being less predictable. Well now that makes complete sense.

How is everyone missing this point? I know those are all good offenses but there is no way you average those type of point totals agaisnt good defenses. Its not just one team. Its the entire conference that is very weak on defense.

The converse is also true. Georgia, Florida, and Alabama look darn good on defense right now. Mostly because every offense in the SEC (with the possible exception of Florida) is very pedestrian.

True but I'm willing to bet that the SEC as a whole sends twice the defensive starters the Big 12 does to the NFL

LSU and Florida is the SEC's only hope!

LSU will churn out a couple more NFL starters at WR in the next two years and Percy Harvin will go in the top two rounds. Massaquoi will get drafted.

QBs = Stafford and Tebow

Big 12 = WRs Crabtree (TTU) The Oklahoma pair, Dez Bryant

TEs is what the Big 12 produce. Oklahoma's TE whose name escapes me, Pettigrew from Okie State, Martellus Bennett from TAMU is in Dallas now.
