5-6 was Koetter's first year as HC and my first year in Boise. You should have read the angry letters to the editor when they raised his salary to $130k/year after he went 10-3 the next year. LOL

I typically like your humor & most of the time your gramma corrections but let me put a thought in your head.

I think it's fair to say a good majority of people want Gruden/Davis first shots. I am included in that bunch. If they say no, so sorry, we are left with the rest of the best. We have/had a solid defensive football team (only because Fulmer kept his ass out of it) for years including this past one. We have coaches on defense as well (although Slade simply must go IMO). We need an offensive minded coach in this day and age and Leach and/or Kiffen fit the bill nicely. We need OFFENSE!

Now, before you go and rip me...let me assure you just because you're a vol with a hat, have a fine ass chic as an avatar, doesn't mean I'll agree.

Yeah, hiring defensive minded coaches has just killed Oklahoma, USC, and Alabama. I sure hope we don't hire anyone like the three clowns running those operations.

So you won't be happy unless we hire a sharp defensive minded coach?

Correct me if I'm wrong....but I think our defense is ok....it's the other side of the ball that's lacking.

i do know that leach has his receivers stand with backs to tennis ball machine and then turn to catch them out of the machine. really good for hand-eye coordination.

No, I'm simply saying it's silly to focus on one side of the ball or the other when you're looking for a head coach. I'm not looking for an offensive guy or defensive guy. I'm looking for a good football coach.
