Terrible idea. Leach would be gone in 3 years.
Why? If his offense works in the Big 12, it'll work in the SEC. He'll be able to get better recruits, which will lead to a better defense. And do you not think that WR's and QB's will want to come to a high profile school where they could put up huge numbers? I mean, I don't see a downside.
Leach's teams beat 2 Ole Miss teams with Eli Manning at the helm both times and lost to Alabama by 3 a few years ago.I can only recall Leach facing one SEC team while at Texas Tech. He scored like 10 points in a loss. Our wide receivers and QBs would be straight dominated by the SEC defenses. The Big 12 is toward the bottom of defenses as far as BCS conferences go.

Yeah,, I love all the it won't work in the SEC when it already has at Kentucky with Kentucky talent. We were at the height of our talent pool when we played them and usually couldn't stop them. They led the SEC in total yardage I believe.
We run one of the most conservative offenses in the land which is very easy to defend yet I haven't heard these same people arguing for the last 10 years that it won't work in the SEC. Well guess what?? Our conservative scheme isn't getting it done anymore. This same mindset is what has kept Fulmer around.
I don't know who the best person is for the job and I don't care who they bring in -no one is going to win every game. You're going to have your occasional Florida losses to Ole Miss, your USC loss to Stanford, etc.. the list goes on and on. Even the best coaches have those games. I would just for once like for our offense to be feared.
