Mike Leach Sucks and UT can easily lose to Arkansas

LOL just like Jeremy Pruitt has won everywhere he's been.... until he got to our school and last time I checked Leach has no titles to his name.
CJP has 0 wins as HC before he got here,
15-15 3 yr HC record.
Leach 19 years HC.598 record.
So I guess Butch Jones is a much better coach than CJP the last couple of years as Alabama has been much better than TN as it doesn’t seem to matter whether you’re HC or not to get credit for the accomplishments

I’m still wondering is the MSU players have fat little girlfriends that tell them how wonderful they are.

Two things have become more clear to me recently. First I'm glad we didn't hire Mike Leach. His "air raid" offense has scored a grand total of 16 points in the last 3 weeks. After what appeared to be an impressive first game against LSU (who obviously have enormously huge issues), Leach's team has fallen more flat that UT has which is impressively bad given Tennessee's last two weeks.

That brings me to my second observation. One of those teams that beat Leach was Arkansas. Arkansas with a first year head coach, playing in the SEC west, has scored at least 21 points in 4 of their 5 games this year. The lone blemish was against Georgia's defense. Since Tennessee doesn't have anything even close to Georgia's defense that means UT has to score points. Something they haven't managed to be able to do since JGs epic meltdown.

Arkansas is probably the second easiest game UT has left and on the road against a team that can score points I'm now inclined to think this is an "L" and UT ends up going 1-4 in the back half of the year.

ESPN is giving Arkansas the edge to win in this one and Vegas is only giving Tennessee -3 on the spread. This game is considered a toss-up. A DAMN TOSS-UP! It's very possible that Tennessee loses to lowly Arkansas with a first year head coach. A loss would also mean that Arkansas is having more success with a 1st year HC playing in the SEC west than Tennessee is having with a 3rd year HC playing in the east. That's crazy to think about.
There is a world of difference between UT and Miss St. Stadium, Facilities, Tradition, etc. It is very much easier to get a recruit to pick UT than it is to pick Miss St. What that means is this: Leach will never have the personnel that a UT does. Not to mention an apple to apple comparison would be Leach's year three versus Pruitt's year three.

Leach going to the air raid without a Spring...Summer....limited camp and somebody else's players. If Leach is regressing or threading water in year 3 like we seem to be then I'll have a opinion of Leach and his ability to win in the SEC.

And I will not be shocked at all if we lose to Ark.....Right now I will be shocked if we win. They put up 30 on A&M and their offense looked good at times and much better than KY's. If we play JG (which we will) we couldn't score 30 in 2 games combined.

Leach is regressing because he's an offensive ghimmick guy. The gimmicks don't work very long in the SEC. If you like your coach entertaining in his press conferences while losing to Bama 41 - 0, by all means, hire Leach and his pirate hat and yuck it up.

Mike Leach is playing with what he inherited. Saying he sucks in a half a season with players he didn't recruit is jumping the gun. He's turned every program around he's been with. Too early to say that.

I'm surprised we are favored. Obviously Vegas sees something I don't over the last few weeks. If true though it's a hopeful sign, because Arkansas definitely beat Auburn. Only the refs saved them.

Chad Morris’ first class was 49th (that was the first year of the early signing period with limited time for him to recruit) but his second class wasn’t bad at 23rd and then Pittman’s first class was 30th. I think in total team talent we’re around 25-27.
I was gonna say that I heard you guys we’re around 26th in overall talent according to the recruiting services. The cupboard wasn’t exactly bare for Pittman who I think has come in and done a helluva job. He’s definitely a likable guy. I’ll be pulling for him to do well, just not Saturday.

Virtually everyone in the SEC is running a form of the air raid offense, and so is the NFL, but it doesn't work here. Hilarious.
I think he has been fired everywhere he has coached except for Mississippi State. Just wait, it will happen there as soon as they can afford to pay his buy out.

I think Tennessee will keep it close for a half against the Razorbacks, but Arky will roll them in the second half and will win by 14+

If TN is -3 on the road, the game isn't a toss-up. Do you understand how the spread works?

Jury is out on Leach - he couldn't have chosen a roster less-suited to his brand of football than Moo U. He gets a couple of recruiting cycles just like everyone else.

Exactly....Folks deeming Leach a failure after 5 games yet many UT fans say Pruitt has to have 4-5 years to get his recruits before we can judge him a coach or not.

Would you take him over JG?

Probably, but that in no way makes him a "top tier" QB, which is what I was responding to.

Franks is the same Franks he was at UF, which was a slightly better JG. If he were top tier like some here are trying to claim, he'd be starting at UF right now.

The only thing that Vegas sees is that UT has a 5th year QB and Arkansas has a first year head coach. They dont realize our coach is still acting like a first year head coach and our QB "is the best we got".

Yeah, it's not a literal toss-up. But it's a de-facto tossup cause Tennessee should never be just giving 3 points to Arkansas EVER. What a sad sad state of affairs.

Also, that spread was given BEFORE Pruitt announced JG was the starter. We will see where it goes from here.
