Well Leach was successful at Ky so I am not convinced that it doesn't work here. Maybe not for 9 Td pass but I don't discount it would work because it has

Where would we find these "real defenses" in the SEC? Missouri ran a version of this offense in 2017 and ran up ridiculous numbers vs the East including 50 on Tennessee. Leach left Kentucky with something like 40 records. The NFL now is embracing this offense.

I really have no idea how that applies to the situation. When he had a top 15 defense he played 6 top 38 offenses. Tennessee played 5 and had the 77th rated defense.

So without saying it you think the PAC 12 is equal to the SEC?

Oklahoma runs a version of Mike Leach's Air-Raid offense, but with better players, and they've made the playoffs the past 2 years.

OU coach Lincoln Riley played QB under Leach, coached under leach, and is going to be the hottest NFL coaching prospect after this season.

Kliff Kingsbury also played QB under leach, coached under leach, and is the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals.

So NFL GMs seem to think this "offense" will work against real defense... and Oklahoma has proven that it works.

Since 2000 the SEC is 19-15 vs the Pac 10. Since 2017 it's 2-2. The SEC isn't some big bad immortal beast. It's 2 or 3 good teams. 1 or 2 decent teams and a lot of bad teams with high ratings. There are no fewer than 8 awful SEC teams every year. The East is Georgia and 6 bad teams. Florida is ranked highly but aren't remotely a good team. We saw that today.

That's what hurt the most. Leach builds competent coaches that would have set us up for the future. The NFL is now embracing his system. The best quarterbacks in the country would flock to this system here. We can't score at all and couldn't in 2017. What do we do, do we jump on this bandwagon? No, we go into a time machine and try to play 25 year old football.

Hiring Leach would’ve basically been the 2012 season on repeat. Losing while scoring lots of points is still losing.
