Why is that throwing shade? It’s a legitimate question if the “big time school” opportunity is the standard. Everything is not a slight on Pruitt.

In my opinion Leach has accomplished more in his career than Pruitt. And keep in mind, “big time” programs were not beating down his door until we came calling with our bags full of money....but he got the job. So is he a great coach?

I certainly cannot disagree with that. Would it have been the same had he gone elsewhere however? It’s statistically unlikely hat it would have been exactly the same. No way to know for sure...just playing devils advocate.

For instance, just for conversation, would the players that he would have inherited here translated better to his system than they have to Pruitts. Might he have experienced a different result prior to getting “his players”. I know it has nothing to do with his record at WSU, it’s just a concept I find interesting that could be applied to any coach. There are so many variables that go into coaching success.

his background was better than most of the candidates, and had experience at big-time programs, his air raid system was famous, was hoping
he could have been given a shot at the H C job, of course Craig James the once employee of ESPN might disagree

Leach has a team full of 2 *s and no *s. Pruitt has a ton more talent to work with. I do think Pruitt will be a better coach but Leach is really good.

We didn't beat anyone good. The best team we beat was arguably Kentucky or MSU.

Leach is a good coach. I don't see where all the hate comes from when he has a way more experience/wins than Pruitt. I do believe Pruitt can win here. Hoping next season we get over the hump.

Leach lost 6 games to an entire schedule of no one good except Oregon and Utah. But hey, he’s a coach that would be a “homerun”!!!!

SEC Schedule vs Pac12 Schedule easily negates that.

I agree Leach is a good coach though.

I agree that Leach has accomplished more in his HC career. That tends to happen when you've coached 10 times as long as the person you're being compared to. :)

I personally would have been happy with Leach but did you watch the game against UCLA this year? I fell asleep Wash St up 40 something to 17 in the 3rd quarter, woke up about 3 and was then most confused I believe I've ever been by a football score.
