After his freshman year, Trey was being referred to as a future Top 10-20 pick. Since the end of the freshman year, Smith has dealt with blood clots, pathetic coaching, and a global pandemic. Even with all those obstacles, he was back to back all SEC....
It may impact his first contract, but Trey will get paid. Most analysts say he needs some technique improvement. At KC, he doesn't have to be immediate starter, but playing for Andy Reid and blocking for Mahomes...not sure there's a better spot for him, after getting over the shot to the ego. Chiefs boards are pumped.

Farrell is a long time crooting "analyst" that went twitter for his job, and realized the power of social. he often will use a "shock jock" approach, but it's more "i don't care." he is used to the criticism, it doesn't bother him, he is probably sipping a bourbon.

Has a history of classless stuff, I hear. And this "apology" feels like something he put out because he was told to.

Don't think his employer was happy.

Anyone who spends 4-5 years stewing over a recruiting evaluation and feels the need to immediately tweet about how he was "right" on draft night, while completely ignoring the main reason the guy fell in the draft was a medical issue, is not "sorry". This guy is still butt-hurt over some minor thing. And he wasn't even right. Trey performed well on the field. That's not why he fell to the 6th round. He's probably a 2nd round pick w/o the health concerns.

As much as I believe people should be allowed to make mistakes and say stupid things from time to time, his tweet should've gotten him fired. It's hardly the first time he's said despicable things. He's not exactly a huge asset to Rivals.

BTW ...this is journalism 101 now days when you say something stupid, lie, and get called out for it. Just apologize and carry on as if nothing happened until IT HAPPENS AGAIN. There’s zero consequences for this stuff and they know it! And Twitter is just fine with it ...as long as you fall in line with them!

Trey Smith was drafted in the 6th round today by the Chiefs. That is lower than projected, but not much lower, because of his history with blood clots. This a-hole analyst, Mike Farrell, didn't rate Smith as high as most other analysts did in the class of 2017, so Farrell decided to use his Twitter platform to gloat over the misfortune of a 21 year old... and he rejects any mention of Smith's blood clots, as an "excuse". What a jackass.

Actually, he rated Trey lower than most and Tennessee fans have been personally attacking him nonstop. I guess it got to him, and he stooped to the TN fans level to let them know he was right after all...but in doing so he failed to think how his response was coming across since it involved an innocent, 3rd party that has gone through a lot of obstacles in his life (Trey). Farrell screwed up by stooping to the same level as the TN fans that have been going after him relentlessly. Of course, now these same TN fans are "taking the high road" in wanting to hold Farrell to a higher standard than they are holding themselves to.

Farrell and a bunch of supposed TN fans are proving themselves to be pathetic in arguing/debating/getting personally involved in 18-22 year old kids playing a sport. Sad.
