Watch yourself. If you mention that you donate to the program and have a "right" to question things the rednecks on here will burn you at the stake. I was/am a running joke for having the nerve to mention I spend money and time every year supporting the program.

No one questions Butch's decisions, rather you blindly support them.

Lloyd Carr retired after the 2007 season with Michigan ranked #18 in the country, after beating a really good Urban Meyer coached Florida team in the Capital One Bowl. Michigan had a record of 9-4 that year, and an 8 game winning streak.

You are telling me that Michigan fired its coach for losing by 2 points (on a blocked fg) to Appy State in the first game of the season, even though they finished tied for 2nd in the Big 10 that year?

Is this from memory or have you read this somewhere?

In all honesty, as someone said, this is Butch's offense so this guy will just be an extension of what Butch wants. Won't be much, if any, different than last year IMO

I have just one question for Butch if he hires this guy. How does MD make this staff the "best coaching staff in the country"? I recall Butch promising us that when he was hired a few years ago.

Butch is going to have to spend a lot of time with the offense bring this guy up to speed on his schemes and plays!

On the bright side, the good news is that is will be hard to finish a season with a worse average in yards and points per game than Jake did the last two seasons as OC.

So I'm giving whoever Butch hires a fair chance to earn my respect and confidence.

That article that Nashvol posted had some good insight from a Michigan fans point of view

They didn't want him hired back after he left the first time
