Yep. Also bigot and NaziAbusing a moniker like this devalues it, unfortunately.
It used to be that if someone was designated a racist, it was a major blow to their reputation. Thus, if an actual racist was called racist, it meant something. Now, it's been so abused that it's meaningless.
Same with "far right".
The CDU isn’t conservative in the way Americans think of liberal vs. conservative. In Europe, they are a center-right party, but they wouldn’t be considered as such here. They are much more socially liberal and, while they favor a free-market, they support significantly more government involvement in social programs than US conservatives do. The closest comparison in the US would be the Eisenhower-era Republican Party. The ADF, and their right wing populist platform, is much more akin to the Republicans of today. So I'm not up on foreign politics at all. Conservative had a much different meaning in Europe apparently. But hearing that the socialists didn't perform well makes me believe the right fared well.
Can someone give me a non partisan breakdown?
Likewise, Liberal has a much different meaning there as well. The CDU isn’t conservative in the way Americans think of liberal vs. conservative. EXCLUSIVE: US woman who fatally stabbed a man 'after he sexually harassed her in German subway station' is spared jail - sparking fury from victim's family
An American woman who stabbed a man to death at a German railway station after she said he had sexually harassed her has been spared jail.
Fallyn Ball, 21, was facing a maximum of ten years in prison but judges ruled that as she was still technically a juvenile under German law when the offence was committed, she should be given a lower sentence which was then suspended.
Judges agreed she had 'acted in self-defence but then deliberately advanced' on Alem Tekeste, 64, 'shifting from defence to attack' in the incident near the top of an escalator killing him within seconds.
Eritrean born Alem had lived in Germany since 1980 and was a German citizen - but the case still caused a furore in a country where issues around immigration are increasingly fraught.

man I love it.Denmark's battle to break up 'non-western ghettos' and force migrants to integrate: 'Parallel societies' are targeted in crackdown... but residents declare it racist - and now Euro judges could bring it to an end
A controversial bid to break up 'ghettos' of 'non-Western' immigrant communities in Denmark is set to be challenged in the European Union's top court after residents accused the government of arbitrary and racial discrimination.
Twelve residents from Mjolnerparken, a neighbourhood of Copenhagen affected by the programme, are suing the government over its policy, intended to encourage integration by allowing the eviction of residents in so-called 'ghettos'.
The case will be heard by the court tomorrow, with those affected receiving support from the Open Society Justice Initiative and two UN special rapporteurs. The process is expected to last three to four months.
