I'm largely ignoring the sensationalist media. Until actual facts come out, it's all just noise
Plausible deniability. What Briles did or did not know will most likely never be known due to a carefully crafted statement by Chris Petersen's legal counsel.Whatever happened to Art Briles and the Baylor scandal?
Don't get upset. Being slandered in the media means the program is relevant again. If these issues were happening at a lesser school it would be a blip on the ticker at the bottom of the screen. You have to understand that so far Butch has handled every situation at Tennessee by the book. He's proving to be successful and a morally sound person at the same time, aka the media's favorite people to crucify. (See Peyton Manning)
It killed them when Mack Crowder's phantom punch story was unsubstantiated. It will kill them when this goes to the wayside as well. Funny turn of events since Crowder turned out to be a piece of garbage himself.
You point out my main problem with this whole thing. I honestly think there are real issues in the suit that should be addressed in the suit that will be drowned out by the dog and pony show.He said IF the allegations were true that Butch should be fired and anyone with half a brain would have to agree. No one wants a leader who would admonish a young man from doing the right thing.
He said IF many times. He did say he doubts that every woman in the suit is lying. Again, most people that can use common sense would agree with that statement. This isn't Duke where one person made it up. Now, all 8 telling the truth? Using logic, probably not.
Blind homerism makes the Tn fan base look as bad as the PR dept on the hill is currently.
Sorry but we are going to have to get used to the media outcry and their rush to judgement. That is just how it works now when sexual assault allegations are involved. The accuser gets the benefit of the doubt (even a certified whack job like Jamie Naughright) until there is no doubt anymore about what happened (see the Duke lacrosse case).

What a biased, idiot, a-hole. Everybody is lying, please. Only Bowles is lying, likely because he was pissed about playing time. Certainly, Bowles was questioned before the first filing of the suit. Then why is this just coming out now.
Sworn affidavit, why not if there if no recording on either side, there would be no way to disprove it. Just more he said, she said and positioning by the plaintiffs attorney.
I really struggle to believe Butch would do treat anyone poorly for helping the alleged victim.
Being a smart ass and stating that UT defenders are suggesting a conspiracy by saying the women all lied is not factual, but a straw man.
Only one addressed the Bowles situation as hear-say and the rest did not comment on it. I guess anyone with the IQ of a turnip can get a show on espn.
I would ban ESPN from UT and no more trips there once they resolve this case.
Seriously, &^^*^ ESPN and (*&(*& the Tennessean and their leftist ()*)(* reporters.
GBO, Punch a Yankee Traitor, Free Butch!
