"Met him in college. Can't listen to his show as a result
I actually know Eric (I know, everyone always claims to know everyone here but you will have to take my word for it). He has grown up a lot. After he broke his neck on the goal post during the LSU game our athletic department, attempting to help him, gave him a ton of pain medication. The rest is history and well documented. Through those trials, addictions he has had to grow up and mature. Sure, he can still be impetuous, like his Butch Jones comments last season, but he will reason with you.
What section? My Eric Ainge story is that my youngest daughter Neyland was born in the 3rd or 4th quarter of the 2007 SEC Championship game. It would have been glorious to tell people that she was born while we were winning the SEC.
He threw those picks shortly after she was born.
He seems like a good dude and after some anger management classes, I have learned to forgive.
You can thank your boy Randy Sanders for making the dumbest call of all time for Ainge's shoulder injury.... just sayingI freaking love Ainge. I remember during the 2004 Vol Walk vs Kentucky ( shortly after he injured his shoulder badly vs Notre Dame). I shouted his name he was on the other end of the street but he still waded through the crowd just to give me a high-five. I was 9 years old at the time so that literally made my day. Great player and a good person.
Thats cool. Why some fans have to bring up negative, ignorant BS when someone posts they met a former player is beyond me. Ainge seems like a cool guy.
