This is from TOS... Apparently Jason Crooms mother is a big poster over there and had this to say.
"There are a lot of good things coming and good people coming to visit.* Not just ex-VOLS.
A lot of what breaks the team spirits is not just losing a game, but he fans and fan boards.* They read the BS that's posted here from time to time and what you guys think about what's going hurts worse than a rival team* or media."
She also goes on to say that the team is coming together like a brotherhood because of it. What do you think about this? Is this an overreacting mother? Or do you think her son is telling his mom that this actually happens?
**By the way, I know the rules about pasting from other sites. I don't claim this as my own and no sensitive information that one would pay for is revealed, therefore this post does not in anyway look to undercut TOS.**
So more blaming the fans.
So if I go through UT again and this time major in Theater Arts and can only get a job as a bar-tender or coffee shop artist... I can blame the school and the other students?
Why not just own up for the fact that this team is about as underwhelming as a team can get? It gets hit with Troubles and it just quits. It quit in 2010. It quit in 2011. It quit against Florida.
The fans rallied around this team and this team quit on itself, the school, the fans, the coaches, etc. Fans will come back but we've been burned a lot in the last 5 years. It will take something resembling proof... and not just an aberration or a fluke win.
Beat UGA and USC and you'll have the fans back.
You will not find me bashing players, but more the fact they deserve better than what they have been given as leaders. There is nothing guaranteed to hurt recruiting than keeping this group of underachievers together. It is beyond me how far we have fallen as a program, and I am afraid it is about to get worse. With the total lack of leadership how do you think they are going to respond to getting drummed the next 4 weeks in a row? I would say worse than whatever pain the message boards caused.
Well, considering it is just a game, I would say it is not worse than someone calling you out on a message board. Take Palardy for example, there has been some really stupid stuff said about that kid. People should be ashamed at the way they act.
Side note: Since you own a business, riddle me this. Do you fire the manager or the peons first? If your employees mess up, who is responsible? The manager, you? If you relate it to football, your manager goes first, but you are responsible for that manager so is your seat hot? So there is no correlation in football and business.

No really, it is just a game.
In the SEC---football is a religion. Well known statement. Weddings are planned AROUND football. Football is talked about 365 days a year; Sports talk shows thrive in the South.
Don't tell me it is just a game. It is life to some, and actually to more fans than the ones that consider it just a game. Of course literally speaking, but that does not apply here. I guess sometimes a hammer is required.
