We will likely either be a 2 or a 3 when all is said and done. Outside shot at a 1 and a 4. We need to avoid additional home losses as it’s reasonable to expect more on the road. I think we finish 11-7 in conference play. I was thinking a 3 seed but if we only have 7 losses heading into the SEC tourney I don’t see how we would be that low. That should be worthy of a 2 given the ridiculousness that is the SEC.

Edit: Not to mention 2 road wins over Louisville and Illinois as well as a neutral win over Baylor are starting to really look good.

Probably won't matter that much. We take the kinda offense we've played a lot of this SEC season into the tournament in March and it's not going to end well for us.

I let myself get sucked in on how well we had played since the last UK game but it’s looking like I was maybe on the right track. We will see.

I did the same, bro. Most of us did.
If we play good the next couple of games or so I'm not going to be so easily convinced we've turned any kind of corner.
Another year where not being able to score when we need to that will be our Achilles heel.

It’s frustrating seeing that all the other SEC big boys took care of business on the road. The reality is we’re the 4th best SEC team at best and might be more like 5th or 6th. It just happens that’s still top 10, maybe 15 at worst.

Frustrating but we still have a chance to put it together. We go on a run the next few games and we'll all feel better.
We have to be consistent shooting, Lanier cannot disappear, have to make a for real effort to get to the basket/in the paint , and ZZ has to not take possessions off in regards to dribble penetration. We are at our worst when we spend a whole possession beyond the top of the key just dribbling or handing the ball off to each other.

Maybe it's the fan in me, but I think we can do the above. We've shown we can do it, but we just have to do it when it counts most.

We also need some more points from the bench. This includes Dubar. He gives us a more in the paint presence, and we need to try to give him some feeds at the post. Maybe even a litte ISO.
Be nice to see him have the chance to get going this last stretch of games.

Agreed. I still do think we make a tourney run. Sweet 16 is the floor but I think we make the Elite 8. Hit the right matchup and Final 4 is in play. I know it seems silly after tonight but I truly believe it and have all season.

Like I was just telling the KY fans in another thread. As bad as we shot in both games we were in position to pull out a win in both games.
We had a 3 point lead tonight at Rupp with 4 and some change left. We get a stop, and say hit a 3, and that game is over. Margins to win when you shoot bad are really thin. We just have to not put ourselves in those positions by shooting better and not falling behind.
