The only Memphis game I have seen so far this Tourney was the 1st rounder for them against North Texas, and they didn't look that great to me. It may have been just a bad game, who knows.

But to me, they don't look that strong , and we beat them by about 20 points earlier this year, so as said before I would rather face them in the Elite 8 IF we get there. A&M I think would beat us. I think we have a better chance against Memphis.

A lot of teams had poor opening round games. Just look at TXAM, they struggled with the Penn Quakers.

I think you are failing to look at the bigger picture here.

1st) Who would you rather play if UT beats Ohio St?

2nd) Say UT beats Ohio State, and A&M beats Memphis. Wouldn't A&M play in their home state against us? Yes. Wouldn't that give them a some what Homecourt advantage? Yes...

Plus, A&M is a more physical team up front, which in my mind is just better overall than Memphis. So that my friend is why I am rooting for Memphis.

I pull for Tn Vols first, then the SEC. Memphis fans have nothing to be arrogant about, but they are. They do in fact have a good team and a decent coach, but they are not a great team. I think Tn can beat Ohio St. and either Memphis or TA&M. They have to play their best and not get behind. We tend to push to hard sometimes.

I guess I'm just hankering for a Tennessee-TAMU matchup. We've seen what Pearl can do against Calipari (1-1). I'd really love to see a chess match between Pearl and Gillispie, even if it is in hostile territory.

There are a LOT of Tiger fans that wear blue glasses all of the time and it gets old. They are led by Dave Woloshin......possibly the worst play by play man in the country.

If the Tigers can shoot over 70% from the FT line and over 35% from the 3pt line........and then someohow limit Law's touches.......THEN I think they can win.

Either way, I think both South matchups are stellar.

And "boo" to me for liking more than one school. :birgits_giggle: :peace2:
