So the guy who actually wonders why Memphis St should have to play UT wants us to cheer for him? Never gonna happen in my house and I know quite a few others (located in Memphis) who feel the same. I only wish I had a TAMU shirt to wear while I cheer.

I will NEVER root for tigger high unless they play devil U (aka bammer). Cal is a tool of the highest order. Either way I just want to win Thursdaynight.

Sombody needs to point that out to the LBS 49ers site. If I remember there was a bit of an exchange on their site after they said that we only knew stuff about fat chicks, nascar,ect. and that they were just too saturated with great teams within 50 miles. Of course, with no mention of per capita.

I hope aTm drops Cal and Tiger High by 30. And, Vandy can fall off the face of the earth (or the side of their own court), for that matter.

Why would I root for teams that a) I hate, b) have a-holes for coaches, and c) directly compete with UT for recruits???

Yeah, no one should root for Memphis. Just go back to his comments about the fans, players, and coach of Tennessee- that guy will never get my support.

It would make more sense for UT fans to root for Texas A&M, since their fans will be in the vast majority in San Antonio. Then, hopefully the Aggie fans will root for UT in the second game of the twinbill.

It's in the middle of the interview. He says that Memphis fans should root for Tennessee and Tennessee fans should root for Memphis so we can play in the elite 8 to see who goes to the Final 4. He also says because UT beat Memphis by 20, we should root for Memphis. :)

For a coach that stated that the Memphis ---- Tennessee game was not a rivilary why does he want to start it now. I will root for Memphis because it is good for the State of Tennessee Basketball and will all the better for us to beat them again.

Stallings is an A hole. He was on the zone and is pulling for Tennessee and Memphis. Stated he had talked to both coaches yesterday. They all agreed about how it is good for the State of Tennessee Basketball. I think each coach will be pulling for the other Tennessee Clubs until they meet head to head. Why wouldn't they?????

I know a lot of folks want Memphis in the regional final because they perceive them as weaker. Frankly, I want to see how Pearl and Tennessee handle Billy Gillispie's coaching in a hostile environment. Then we'll really see what the team is made of.

"To be the best, you gotta beat the best..." as Pearl likes to say.

Of course, we have to beat OSU first.

Got news for you they are going to root for the team they think they can beat. The media fear of Ohio State would probably cause them to root for Tennessee. They have to get there first by beating a decent Memphis team. Not saying they won't but this woulda, coulda, or shoulda stuff is for the birds.

I know what ya mean TnTom....I live close & hear all the talk and junk that the tiger people talk...There is no way i would root for memphis and their OVERRATED coach...Hey Tom are you the one on the radio 560 all the Time talking to wineburger & on 730 talking to chris vernon!

the guys on PTI asked CBP who he thought would win it all if he couldn't pick his team and he said Florida. He said he was an SEC man now and had to go with UF.
