Ummmm, ok. Concord not being in Knoxville is new to me. And to think I have lived in Concord/Knoxville for the better part of 50 years and was not aware. :-/
Concord, like West Knoxville area Concord.. I also don’t get the first poster’s comment that he doesn’t “sound like he’s from Knoxville.” He sounds exactly like someone from Knoxville.

Knoxville and Farragut are the only municipalities in Knox County. Generally Concord, Halls, Powell, Karns, Fountain City, Bearden, Mascot, etc. are all just neighborhoods and/or postal districts inside or outside of Knoxville, Farragut, and/or unincorporated areas of Knox County. I'm not as familiar with the southern parts. Vestal is one I guess. Sevier Heights possibly. Martha Washington Heights? Those don't include the neighborhoods that are subdivisions as defined in their subdivision ordinances... Concord Hills, Village Green, West Hills, Fox Den, River Bend, Sequoyah Hills, etc, etc. Many of those areas are divided up even more. "West Hills" and "Rocky Hill" are made up of numerous subdivisions. But if you're from Knoxville it's usually considered, Knoxville, Farragut, unincorporated Knox County, and even parts or all of the surrounding counties. If you're in Oak Ridge, Morristown, Maryville, Alcoa, Maynardville, and so on you may or may not not be in Knoxville depending on the perspective. To New Yorkers, we're all the same bunch of hicks.

i've been in Murvul for 20 years and the only time I hear about Murvul and Alcoa being considered a 'Knoxville area school' is after they both have blown through the Knoxville city schools in the HS football playoffs. any other time of the year on the sports talk shows they are referred to as simply Murvul or Alcoa

Always great to see local players do well for the Vols. Sounds like the 3 freshmen have developed great chemistry with each other already. The culture that Barnes has created here is second to none. We are extremely fortunate.

Lol. I like how you provided your credentials for being an expert on Knoxvillians. Not many on this board are familiar with the city.

Interestingly enough I’ve always felt Morristown and Oak Ridge are definitely NOT Knoxville. While Maryville and Alcoa definitely are.

But Maynardville is right out. Curse that speed trap city.

It’s Knoxville if you’re talking to people who are unfamiliar with East Tennessee
