Out with the 'old'? As NBCUniversal plans to Cut its 10pm Primetime Slot it is now considering forcing out veteran staffers age 57 and over by making them early retirement offers as it tries to cut back on costs

NBCUniversal is considering offering early retirement packages to its employees in another effort to reduce companywide spending.

The conglomerate is expected to offer employees throughout the company who have worked for more than 10 years and are age 57 or older, which represents 2 percent of its 74,000-member staff.

The potential offer will follow another possible move to cut NBC's 10pm primetime slot, reducing its primetime programming by seven hours a week.

I'm listening to the radio as I finish up some dinner, and not surprisingly, Headline News legacy regime media company, ABC reports on the debates happening for the PA Senate and MI governors races and both updates were about abortion.

Nolte: Layoffs Hit Far-Left CNN as Primetime Viewership Collapses to 512K

CNN, a far-left propaganda outlet that denies election results and encourages violence in predominantly black neighborhoods, will be hit with massive layoffs before the end of the year.

Per a statement released Wednesday from CNN chief Chris Licht — the left-wing extremist behind Stephen Colbert’s failing late-night show — the fake news outlet is facing “noticeable change. … That, by definition, is unsettling. These changes will not be easy because they will affect people, budgets, and projects.”

I think it's going to be hard for CNN to recover the domestic audience. Once your credibility is destroyed by Woke analysts it is hard to get back.

The green Martian crowd is over on MSNBC.

Canada is saying f it. You people are nuts, and we don't want to hear your constant crying and lying.

"It also means that global media companies like Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp. can’t own newspapers or television stations in Canada."

Bloomberg - Are you a robot?

So I was watching the Titans game and went into another room to do some work. I could hear 60 Minutes come on in the background. All of a sudden they start with a story about Republicans and election deniers. It sounds like a partisan hack story of a network channel toting water for the democrats. It sounded so partisan it was hard to just ignore hearing it in the background. It has become so painfully obvious that whatever they can do to look fair with a democrat slant they will do. With the whole narration shtick with the deep deliberate voice. They have just lost credibility. I had to turn just to focus on my work. Just as I was doing it they were getting to January 6. Just clowns. I hope they get stomped Nov 8.

'Nasty' Chris Cuomo 'is Demanding another NewsNation slot as Ratings for his heavily-promoted new show tank': Ex-CNN anchor is Losing To conservative network Newsmax Despite primetime air

Chris Cuomo is demanding bosses at NewsNation give him a different time slot after viewing figures for his new show, which has been on air for less than a month, appear to have tanked.

Cuomo started at NewsNation on October 3 following his firing from CNN last year after it emerged, he was not open about his involvement in helping his older brother, ex-New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, navigate a slew of sex scandals.

Now, Cuomo is said to have met with NewsNation's president of news, Michael Corn in the hope of convincing him to switch him from his 8pm time slot, possibly with Dan Abrams who takes to the airwaves at 9pm on weeknights.

When Cuomo was at CNN, his show Prime Time would air during the network's 9 o'clock hour and averaged 774,000 viewers by the time of his axing.

'Cuomo is getting nasty about the ratings and he's starting to blame everyone but himself,' an insider told the New York Post. 'He's blaming the network, staff that he personally hired, his lead-in, the promo department and even the press department!'

Cuomo's debut pulled in 147,000 but it has been on a downward spiral ever since with 119,000 viewers tuning in during the week of October 17 and even his interview with Kanye West generating just 129,000 viewers.

Even Newsmax, a conservative network that is way behind Fox News, MSNBC and CNN - but still manages to beat NewsNation when Cuomo is on air.

Didn't know where else to post this

That's interesting. It would be interesting to see that narrowed down by cities and even neighborhoods.

I'd venture it's probably going to fall on poorer communities having the higher rates. Poor decisions ensure poor people stay poor.

This all comes into play with a thought I've been contemplating recently. That we aren't teaching our children consequences of actions as well as we used to. Not sure what the answers are but you can't blame New Yorkers for feeling insecure on the subways and in public. Officers and citizens have been assaulted in horrible ways by people that should not have been walking free to begin with. The current system of catch and release didn't appear to be working for the public good there.

Don Lemon’s 'CNN This Morning' debuts to Dismal Ratings, trails long-struggling 'New Day'

CNN’s new morning program managed a dismal 387,000 total viewers

CNN replaced its long-struggling morning show "New Day" with a heavily promoted program centered around left-wing host Don Lemon, but viewership issues remained the same.

The launch of "CNN This Morning" attracted only 387,000 total viewers on Tuesday, when the ensemble morning program featuring Lemon, Poppy Harlow and Kaitlan Collins officially replaced "New Day." By comparison, MSNBC’s "Morning Joe" managed 793,000 viewers and "FOX & Friends" averaged 1.5 million on the same morning.

NBCUniversal’s CNBC host and former Fox News anchor Shep Smith has reportedly been terminated from his role as the network undergoes a major shakeup.

Senior correspondent at Puck, Dylan Byers, shared the news Thursday afternoon.

“SCOOP: NBCUniversal is about to undergo significant layoffs and cost cuts in the weeks ahead, sources familiar tell me. This will start with Shepard Smith and his team,” Byers tweeted.

Smith’s show, “The News with Shepard Smith,” will be replaced with markets coverage until executives finalize a new live show focusing on business, CNBC reported. Smith will depart the network toward the end of the month, according to the report.

The reality is if you are waiting for a subway in New York and you are hands free, then you are in danger of being pushed over the side at an alarming rate.

When you look at crime, you have to take multiple statistics into consideration. Not just crimes per 100K as some type of validation it ain't bad out on the streets. Tell that to someone who is a victim. It's always liberals trying to minimize the impact of crime.
