Probably could. After last year and all the turmoil with Fulmer, it is nice to see the team playing and winning. I will take it and look forward to next week against UCLA.

It means we are 1-0 and every rebuilding effort has to start somehwhere. This game was a great confidence builder for the tougher games to come.

very happy with the win and the effort.
it was wku so keeping that in mind but our guys played hard for 60 minutes.
that never happened last year IMO

It doesn't mean quite as much as people want to think . . . but it definitely means something.

WKU handled their FCS opponents easily last year, and only lost at VT by 14.

Alcoa would have trouble beating Lambuth... it's a HS team.

However, I think last years Wyoming might give this years WKU a game. That counts for something with me right now.

and what it is, is a win..after last season what I wanted to see was desire, I saw that. I wanted to see execution, I saw that too, and I wanted to see confidence in the system.....Everybody saw that!!!

Bottom line is we WON!!! All the pundents were say we would score 35 or 38 points on WKU. We scored 63!!!! I think that is performing above what the expectaions were. We are going to compete in EVERY game this year and we WILL upset some teams!!! Mark it down!!!!

It means we have improved in several areas of the game where we struggled last year and means we wont have to worry about losing to petty teams we should roll right over without missing a beat

It means a hell of a lot more than beating Northern Illinois 13-9 or beating UAB 17-10 etc. etc.

Only 1 false start means something. Crisp execution means something.

We lost to Wyoming last year and almost to Northern Illinois. So I'd say this at least means something.

I was so surprised when the Vols went for it on 4th and 4. That was definitely a new twist.

If we didn't know what the score was seeing the swarming to the ball by the defense, the hustle and intensity from the oline, the running backs and the entire team would make one satisfied.
