He’s listed at 6-foot-3, 344 pounds, but a few teammates refuse to believe he weighs anything less than 350.

It’s not just that McKenzie is large, though. It’s that he’s also a very good athlete with strength that makes it difficult to believe he won’t turn 19 until January.

“There’s some times on the football field where you’re watching him and you just go, ‘Wow,’” Stripling said. “So no, I’ve never coached [a freshman] like that. Other than being big, he also has unbelievable hand strength and grip strength and use of his hands. For a young guy, his hand use is outstanding.

I believe UT has finally reached a point where the DL is a huge strength..And it is refreshing to say the least..Now if the depth continues to be a plus as well, UT could make serious strides towards championship contention

'i believe tn has finally reached a pt where dl js a huge strength'...in a year, or two it will be THE strength.

lets pump the brakes. freshman are still freshman. lets remember that for every Khalil and Shy Bammer and Georgie have a ***** rated OL...granted Georgia will find a way to lose.

Is KM more John Henderson or A. Haynsworth or his own special talent ? Also is K. Phillips more like L. Little or W. Overstreet ?

I'm not sure if either Henderson or Haynesworth are really good comparisons for Kahlil. They were both taller than Kahlil by about 2~3 inches, yet neither of them ever weighed as much as McKenzie does now. *Except Haynesworth, he ballooned up to about 350 once he got paid and went to the Redskins.

The guy that Kahlil reminds me of the most is Ndamukong Suh. Just a ridiculously strong and massive dude with surprising athleticism. Even though Suh is listed at 'only' 320. Honestly, KMac might have the biggest thighs I've ever seen on a football player (or human being for that matter). Kid is just huge!

L. Little is a good comparison for Phillips. Freakishly athletic DE. Although, Leonard was only around 235 when he played here, so KP already has about 30 lbs on him.

McKenzie and Tuttle could be as good, if not better than Henderson and Haynesworth when its all said and done.

Our DLine is gonna slay some fools!

Also, if ya'll haven't seen yet, Bowling Green's two leading, returning RBs are 5-10 189 and 5-9 205. Ouch! I feel sorry for them already.

Yeah, but all of the "in the know" guys on here were saying he's got no technique and just uses brute force. Wont play more than 2 downs a possession...

That's the kind of praise I want to hear from the coaches.

He played close to 320 in college. He slimmed down in the NFL to play outside in a 3-4. Khalil has the wide lower body like Dorsey.

FWIW I can see the Dorsey resemblance. Dorsey was very athletic for his size. Kahlil might have more lower body strength than Dorsey though, which is downright scary.

KMac gonna end up being the standard that all college fanbases compare their DTs to in the future.
