He’s listed at 6-foot-3, 344 pounds, but a few teammates refuse to believe he weighs anything less than 350.

It’s not just that McKenzie is large, though. It’s that he’s also a very good athlete with strength that makes it difficult to believe he won’t turn 19 until January.

“There’s some times on the football field where you’re watching him and you just go, ‘Wow,’” Stripling said. “So no, I’ve never coached [a freshman] like that. Other than being big, he also has unbelievable hand strength and grip strength and use of his hands. For a young guy, his hand use is outstanding.

Personally, I would love to see Khalil play at 315-320, rather than whatever his current weight truly is. I believe that he would be more explosive at that weight. It might be wishful thinking, but Warren Sapp comes to mind when watching Khalil. Please pardon the analogy, but Sapp had the strength of a mountain gorilla. One of the simplest but most impressive demonstrations of that strength that I recall was one play in which he was on the ground, he simply reached up with one hand and yanked the quarterback violently and forcefully to the turf. And he made it look so utterly effortless.
This youngster gets any more explosive and they'll have people watching the games in underground nuclear proof bunkers and taking iodine tablets to thwart fallout at the games.
