There is basically zero chance he falls that far. He MIGHT fall out of the first round. Even that seems unlikely.I think we are approaching the point in the season where McCoy could start losing draft value if he doesn't return. The idea that he would purposely sit out doesn't make any sense to me. Teams have to eventually be worried as to why he isn't being cleared anf they will drop him a few rounds if there isn't recent proof after his injury that he can play at a high level. He could easily go from 1stvrd to 3rd/4th.

Didn’t he tear his ACL in January/February? That’s only 8 months. As much as I want him back, and as much as I think he would add such a big part to our d that’s missing, we can’t rush him back, or at all.I think we are approaching the point in the season where McCoy could start losing draft value if he doesn't return. Or…..maybe the NFL has advised him to lay out. No one knows or should they.Remember 15 years ago when an ACL surgery was at minimum a 18 month recovery and was often career ending. And now people expect someone to be able to return from it 9 months later and are questioning his integrity because he hasn't. Wild times
he has had some swelling in the knee. if that continues, it will be difficult for him to play.. he continues to try to recover and get out there.. until he puts on pads and practices, he won't play
Well i guess **** the vols then. Hell why do we even have college football? Just get ready for the draft once you graduate high school so you don’t get hurt.Alot of us care for his well being and taking care of his Family first. This defense is what it is this year and we likely still have 2 more losses even if he plays. It makes more sense for him to sit out and be a high 1st round early 2nd round draft pick.

24. Los Angeles Rams (4-2)
Jermod McCoy, CB, Tennessee*
McCoy has yet to play after suffering a torn ACL while training in January. The timeline for his return is still uncertain. But McCoy picked off four passes last season before the injury, and the Rams could use help at cornerback. They've gotten by with retreads at corner such as 2023 first-round pick Emmanuel Forbes Jr., but McCoy is a potential shutdown option on the outside once he returns to full health, something they haven't had since Jalen Ramsey in 2022.

”if he were my son I’d tell him to sit and tank his draft stock”Who is rooting for him not to return? I must have missed that post
The issue is there only has to be one team…out of 32.It would be weird to me if an NFL franchise were willing to spend a 1st or 2nd round pick on a guy that has not played after a catastrophic injury, even after going through workouts. But then again, I do not know how any of this works so maybe it is actually a good idea.
