Bull. This government, both sides, has done more damage to the Constitution and individual rights than you give them credit for.

Congress was originally designed as a temporary office, but has evolved into a lifetime self service power and money grab at the expense of those they are set apart to serve.

Further, you would be better being quiet, as you are making yourself out to be a huge hypocrite. If you're just now complaining about morals in office via Trump, your outrage is incredibly hypocritical and obviously manufactured.

100% agree, however, technically it is a temporary office. These same people keep getting elected over and over again by the same electorate they screw over. At some point we, as voters, have to take some responsibility.

That said, I'm completely in favor of term limits for Congress.

This is why you could never be a democrat. Had the Chosen One done anything that 'embarrassed' his supporters (and he did) they would never admit it because it is party above all.

What a bunch a crap. That is a trait of the tribalism that McCain mentioned in his final letter to America. It is both parties. Neither have all the answers and it is time that some people began to realize that. Neither hates America. Both are blinded by party politics.

I really wish there would be a mega-viral effort to accomplish this from American citizens. But we're fighting against the very ones who won't allow it. This would fix a lot of corruption and stalemate in Congress.

I agree. We're basically getting the government we collectively deserve.

The caveat is the two party system and the fact that the government has insulated itself from change. They've set the system up so that basically no one who would do Good job could get elected and if they did they wouldn't survive.

We need a controlled burn.

I have been thinking about starting a thread to see what similarities we could agree on after term limits popped up. would be interesting, and refreshing to see.
