Is there any living person in the world that would receive anything close to unanimous respect from VN forum members?

I have been thinking about starting a thread to see what similarities we could agree on after term limits popped up. would be interesting, and refreshing to see.

I think once party affiliation was removed from the picture, there would be agreement on many things.

The two major parties are thoroughly invested in each other and their hold on power. They convince the populace there are only the two choices and make it more about banner than substance. That insures their control. Sure, one party will take the helm for a while, but it always swings back to the other. In the long run, they both win, and the American people lose.

yup. the farce imo is calling it two parties. you have the conservatives who spend spend spend, and increase welfare; and democratic war hawks. which is why I always laugh when people get onto each other for supporting a different party. its like yelling at the mirror "I know you are but what am I".

supporting individuals is worth ridicule, however.
