Maze blames Craft

It tells a lot on post like this. Maze defends his coach who has helped him and it's "sickening." Kevin Ware posting his opposition and its " we didn't need him." Jones wants Bruce to stay and "see ya -you're not wanted here anyway." Harris says he may go pro-" good riddance.". Hopson weighs his options and " what a worthless jerk." And these idiotic friends who support Pearl are too stupid to be Basketball fans and need to just stay home because "we don't need them either."

Solid

Good post. I don't think the vast majority of people feel that way though. Online it seems like we are bombarded with negativity...but the ones constantly downing players are in the minority.

I'm just trying to understand the coarse of events, help a guy out.

1. Pearl had a BBQ
2. He invited or told some juniors about it.
3. He told them that if they showed up, it amounted to a secondary violation.
4. They showed up.
5. Somebody took a picture.
6. Somebody gave the pic to the NCAA.
7. The pic was shown to Pearl.
8. He said he didn't recognize it.
9. He had second thoughts got in touch and tried to remedy the situation.

Is that it? Craft went to the BBQ knowing the ramifications? At some point later Craft told the NCAA or gave the picture to the NCAA? Maze seems to suggest it was after a loss is that correct? Just trying to understand the chain of events. If Craft didn't spill the beans before he got to OSU, well that smells funny right?

I understand the events. I can also understand Maze's feelings. And I don't know why we need to "disown" Maze for that.

It's the cannibal mentality that is prevalent in the UT fanbase. Too many take it personal when someone disagrees with them.

Sickening.

You're sickening. You're also not a vol fan nor a lawyer. JMHO. Let me say this, if the lie Bruce told morally offends you on such a high level then you probably should do something other than watch college sports or pro sports for that matter. Bruce is a public figure that got caught telling a lie so it's out in the open for everyone to see and you hide behind your computer with a made up screen name and bash away for days now spewing garbage.

That all looks right exept i don't think pearl told the juniors, someone else did and when they showed up he didn't want to turn them away.

Aaron Craft is just jacking it up for future recruits. There is nothing dirtier than the world of college basketball recruiting. Most kids know to shut up and keep it quiet. Apparently Craft decided he'd be the beacon of light for truth and honesty. Good job Aaron.

It's a small cliq of young posters on here living some fantasy dream of thinking they are relevant. Rational discussion is a foreign concept. In their world a disagreement should be fought with personal attacks.

I'm sure much smarter coaches will be able to get away with it in the future.

Any high profile recruit knows the rules. They break them when it works in their favor. Aaron and his dad knowingly broke a rule then decided to throw someone under the bus. Real cool.

I'm pretty sure their other choice was lie. Why do that?

Sad, but true. I see it everyday and not just on this site. I can disagree without being disagreeable. I don't take it personal if someone has a different opinion.

I'm not a vol fan because I don't support a lying piece of trash that committed not one but two violations after tearfully apologizing. Great logic. You want to personally attack me over not liking your hero? I say go for it. From people like you, I consider it a compliment.

he did but nothing came of it. Not making a judgment on what he did back then but it just seems a bit hypocritical

Speaking of hypocritical, there's been a hell of alot of hypocritical posts tossed around here since about September. Not sticking up for anyone but Coach Jesus would have hard time pleasing most of the critics around here.

Just curious, what does the Law refer to?

I'm in law school. Never pretended to be anything that I'm not nor do I think it makes me any more qualified on any subject than any of the rest of you guys. Simply a screen name. Get over it.

I'm sorry, but that doesn't hold weight. There is no way they "just showed up". It's not like these guys lived in Knoxville and just happenned to know where Pearl lived. They were invited. Someone took them there. The fact that Pearl committed this same violation at UWM supports that. IF, by some magical chance, they did just show up, then Pearl demonstrated extremely poor judgement as, I've already stated, he's committed this violation before.
