does it change the point. Young is an absolutely horrendous passer and put up impressive numbers in a gimmicky collegiate offense.Your point was that Young was a better passer than Tebow the career stats prove otherwise.
Tebow's junior year-
YEAR TEAM CMP ATT PCT YDS AVG TD LNG INT RAT
2008 UF 192 298 64.4 2746 9.22 30 70 4 172.37
Both had the same Yards per attempt and there is no proof UF had better receivers than that Texas team. Note the 30 TDs and 4 int's and 172 QB rating Tebow had as compared to the 26 td/ 10 int 163 rating Young had.
However please notice, our AD has not gone to the media whining for an apology, our Coach has not put this on a poster and pasted it across our facilities, and our fans are not creating/buying T shirts.
He wasn't far from base. You regularly tell me that my jealousy blocks any objective view that I might have. Shoe's on the other foot. You are such a homer that you've bought into the ESPN love machine. Myriad college passers have had stats through the roof and gone on to absolutely bust in the NFL.Your esteemed colleague was suggesting he was a better passer than Mr. Tebow. My point was that he was in fact not a better passer than Tebow. The end.

Yes, because a 19 year old kid made the stupid remark as a oppsed to a grown man and head coach of a SEC football team. Slight difference- no?
Get back with me when Tebow busts in the NFL. Until then your opinion means jack.

Tebow's WRs were better, but that doesn't even begin to take into account the swings, wheels and screens to their slew of RBs who can all fly.Yes, UF wide receivers were better and had more depth Tebow's junior year. And if you saw my original post, I said that Tebow was a better sophomore passer than Young. Passing isn't all numbers, especially when you consider that UF doesn't run many deep routes like Texas did. Also NFL scouts would agree, because (even though he has played bad so far) they felt Young was an easy Top-10 pick, while some NFL scouts aren't sure if he is strictly a first day QB.
