Goes to show how this program is viewed by the coaching fraternity. We can't just go out and buy any coach we want. Fans need to stop the firing talk everytime things get rough and get behind this coaching staff. We really need this guy to succeed. I'll admit he wasnt a guy I wanted UT to hire, but now that he's the head coach, I'm going to back him to the hilt. Really we have no choice.

RockytopTexas,I believe that Rogers is waiting for Todd Bowles.to get a head coaching offer again,then he could possibly be DC of the Bucs.His defensive line last .year.was.savage.If Suh is let.go,he could.see.them getting J.J.Watt.

Not gonna happen with this fan base. Look at the basketball program. Barnes is the best BB coach we have had in modern history. Yet he has lost some tough games this year. People saying oh he is underachieving and not that good.

Watch what happens this year. If we don’t get Ty Simpson and many of the other instate guys for 2922, it will be are told you JH can’t recruit. We suck. Once JH loses a game he shouldn’t, there will be calls that he sucks, White sucks and they both need to be fired.

The calls to fire them both will come after the first loss.
It will not wait until the first loss he shouldn't have had.

No "dude" we are a premier program! You could be a great guy but have your name drug thru the mud cause of that one girl you took home from the bar but doesn't mean your a bad guy!!! Go back n look at history. We will be back one day just had a lot of crap to have to dig out of!

Crap. Just need a good hosing off and we're back in the top tier.

At the time of your post, you still hadn't given an explanation as to how you know/heard this information. I'm sorry, but I can't go on the word of a random poster. It does seem as though he did turn us down, or there would have been an announcement already. But, no source equals not true in my book. You didn't even say you had a source but wasn't giving it up, just that he wasn't taking the job and that's short and unbelievable, IMO.
