I consider this (no matter what the race, religious affiliation, whatever)to be a terrorist attack.

How on Earth can a guy manage to kill 30 people across two hours and different buildings and the place not be inundated with police in the meantime?

Horrifying to think about but speculation is execution style killings with victims all laying on the floor. One classroom could yield this number.

The last caller they interviewed on CNN was a student and was pissed nothing was done after the first shooting. He was in class at 955 and that was his first notice given by the university via email for the first shooting.

With the number of close shots fired on the video, I was thinking the same thing.

Especially with the area he had to cover to get from one building to the next.

One of the buildings in the shootings also had a bomb threat recently...I wonder if there's any connection.

There was a shooting and they notified people via . . . e-mail??

they were also relaying it across the campus tv's and through an emergency alert system. one kid cnn interviewed was evidently close to the shooting and didn't hear the gunfire because he was playing music. i like to play my music loud, but i'm pretty sure I'd hear a gunshot go off. i'm positive i'd hear 10 gunshots go off.

If it's true only one person was killed in the initial shooting, they probably thought it was a relatively simple, I-hate-my-girlfriend thing and didn't see any sense in locking down the whole campus. Obviously that turns out to have been a colossal mistake.

However, it's worth pointing out that there's no telling how much of what we're hearing now is going to turn out to be accurate. As I recall, originally they thought twice as many people had been killed at Columbine as it turned out to be. It'll probably be tomorrow before we start getting much accurate information about what went on today.

There will be a lot of inaccurate stories. The interviewed a guy on Fox who says he talked to a guy in one of the rooms where everyone was shot but him - he pretended to play dead --- sounds fishy to me.

I find it crazy that this guy went to a dorm and killed a person only to get away and "hide" then 2-3 hours later to appear across campus and kill over 30 more.
