Apparently after the first shooting, students and faculty were allowed to go/leave from wherever they were locked down at the time.

SWAT guy on CNN now complaining that there was no security on campus. Students, get ready to start going through a security checkpoint every time you enter a campus building.

Didn't they have an incident last year? (nothing like this but I remember a manhunt in some woods by campus).

That's right, you NRA fans, I'm hoisting this up as an example of why owning a gun is not necessarily a great thing. Will be interesting to see how he came to possess it.

Not interested in this debate right now, but one guy with a gun could have minimized this tragedy.

I look at it another way. If one of the other people in his dorm had a gun for self defense, they may have been able to end this early.

Edit: Wow, I need to learn to type faster.

Fine by me. I mention it only because of Fine Vol's thread the other day about what to buy and I saw some relationship as he posted on here about this.

But I'll defer for now.

Imus just found out that free speech is not always a great thing either, but it sure is nice to have around if you need it.
